Should PCB work actively to enable pakistani players to participate in next season of IPL? Some say, this is a great opportunitiy for players to showcase their talent, especially for the young ones. Also, its a great opportunity to make money. Rumors are also that IPL has not invited PCB/pakistani players to participate in IPL

What are your thoughts?

They won't participate anyway as they will be playing in west Indies. The way IPL treated them in the last two years they shouldn't.

IPL has treated them unfairly no doubt. But it does not mean they should not hone their skills and participate in a global event that will also help their income.

cricket is a sport but IPL is all glamour and rather business. our players can always showcase and prove their talents through ODIs.

there have been many ways of increasing income like satta bazi, spot fixing, and now this IPL.
that players are sold and bought even the thought of it is sad. even if for fun and glamour's sake. Its more an attempt towards individualizing the players. Indians still play for their nation but non indians are doing what? participating in a tamasha in front of tamashbeens. there should always been a demarcation between decent sports and indecency.

If provided the opportunity genuinely... they should avail it. There's no other venue that allows players from teams from around the world to play in the same team and learn from each other in a competitive environment. It's a great opportunity to nurture new talent.

I also think that the last snubs were more out of uncertainty around Indian govt's proclivities as franchises weren't given a straight answer whether Pakistani players would be given visas, as well as security concerns for the players based on Mumbai attacks backlash from various factions. Besides, IPL may be an improved enterprise without Modi - who knows...

I think...Pakistan should improve its cricket + other sports infrastructure...good people in and on boards...hone young talents...we don't have shortage I guess...non-Pakistani sportsmen/women will come to Pakistan to participate in events...though the sporting spirits should be paramount...and the money and fame second... :)
