Re: Should Pakistan have free elections next year?

Elaborate UTD? Why the question? And in what context?

Re: Should Pakistan have free elections next year?

this should have been done long time ago. Like Zakk many now do not understand what free elections are? pakis have become habbitual of dictatorship, free elections are now outdated and obsolete for pakis, though unfortuanate.

Re: Should Pakistan have free elections next year?

Absolutely. Free elections like in any other country and anyone eligible to stand for the Parliament should be allowed to do so. Let the people decide.

Re: Should Pakistan have free elections next year?

NO
musharaf should be king
shaukat his primeminister

No election what so ever.

Re: Should Pakistan have free elections next year?

Let elections be held tomorrow and both Mush and Shaukat will lose.. It is high time Qazi hussein and Maulana Fazlur Rahman to come to power.. we need Islamic guidance, teachings and our religion as our savior.

Re: Should Pakistan have free elections next year?

NO

Because we do not want thieves, we like it the way it is. besides just casting your vote does not mean that you have freedom... Freedom comes in many shapes and forms and i like the one in uniform.

Re: Should Pakistan have free elections next year?

^ We need a proper Islamic governance not chamcha government.. If you go to Pakistan, ppl are dead opposed to both Shaukat and Mushy for their western style governance. We need a strict Islamic governance with no place for anything foriegn.. My Pakistani brother, thats the way it should have been.

Re: Should Pakistan have free elections next year?

^ How about you make me your khilafa? I will make you my minister of massage parlors!!!!! :D

Re: Should Pakistan have free elections next year?

^ Allah.. Aap aisi baatein na karein bhaijaan.. Take a tasbeeh. Thanks but no thanks I can't even think of them. I am very pious and I consider Islam to be my guide. I am very fond of general zia.. he was first ruler who could successfully implement sharia.. Wish we could have another ruler like him.. Inshallah :)

Re: Should Pakistan have free elections next year?

^ OK you make me your khilafa? I will make you my minister of SHUTTING down massage parlors!!!!! :)

Re: Should Pakistan have free elections next year?

^ Yes I do :D.. but why massage parlors ?

Re: Should Pakistan have free elections next year?

Free elections? What is that? like free food? :D

Seriously, Pakistan should NOT hold ANY elections until
1. The setup has been modified to create a good check and balance on PAs and NA, ministeries.
2. A free judiciary is MUST before any new government.
3. Nawaz Sharif, Benazir, Altaf Hussein (or his party) are completely banned
4. All ethnic parties are banned from participation

Re: Should Pakistan have free elections next year?

A certain group of people in Pakistan are firm supporters of General (s)elections

Re: Should Pakistan have free elections next year?

Not me, I am not interested in any election general or national… I just want to be khilafa thats all…

Re: Should Pakistan have free elections next year?

Yes free elections - however in Pakistan this will never happen.

Re: Should Pakistan have free elections next year?

We should formally go for a Presidential system of government like the US model.

Then hold elections rather freer than the 2000 US Presidential election. :)

Re: Should Pakistan have free elections next year?

Assalam O Aalaikom,

How is everyone? Many Pakistanis including me are not happy with Pervez Musharaf. Pervez Musharaf just wants his seat. He is not caring how many people are dying in Pakistan. In fact, Pakistan is getting more poor. But there is no point of changing the Presidents as the next President might be from Pervez Musharaf's group. There are many people to kill Pervez Musharaf. First of all, it is United States and plus Taliban, who are extremely against Musharaf. Why do our Presidents don't improve our problems? Like mixing things in products. Not having strict policies. Not forbiddening bollywood movies/songs. He just wants his seat badly, why not just give him a "Toilet Seat"?

Re: Should Pakistan have free elections next year?

:wsalam:
Yes, he is just another seat grabber, in that context.

By any means I am not a supporter of Mushy but who exactly is dying? All governments in past have done this, he is no different.

How is Pakistan getting poorer? I see UN, IMF and other reports showing Pakistan’s economy growing by 6+ % for past few quarters/years now.

US wants to kill Musharraf? Thats new to me

What do you want Musharraf exactly to do which will solve “our problems”?

How would not forbidding bollywood movies/songs solve our prblems?

Re: Should Pakistan have free elections next year?

Good comments. There are few USA people who are working with Pervez Musharaf. Once they are out, they might kill him. Economy has nothing to do with rich or poor. If our economy is strong, doesn’t mean we are rich. For example, England is richer country than Canada, but in terms of technology/economic issues, Canada has the upper hand. Who are dying? Our brothers/sisters. They do not get enough food and they are not getting served enough food in few cities. Where are you now? See our people in Queeta, Attuck, Kohat, Abtabat. How do those people survive? Just go there and we will know. I hope you already know about that.

Pervez Musharaf hasn’t won the election that held before. He cheated. There were millions of vote and who would count them. I guess you didn’t know about that too. These are not my words. I have many references from that. First of all, from my Dad. My relatives and many other people. People in Pakistan do not know all about this because the things are hidden there.

Forbidding bollywood movies will not solve our problem, but it is bad effect for us. Actually sorry, I was tending to say that watching movies should be forbidden. First of all, it is against our religion Islam. Second of all, waste of time. It’s not right. Look at Saudi Arabia, we should follow like their rules. We should do the same the punishment of robbery; cutting off hands.

The only question arises “Who would solve that problem”? We just need a noble President who can take things positive.

Do you know why we are behind in terms of technology? Like we are way behind as compared to Europe and North Americans. Whenever British used to invent anything. Our few Maulanas used to refuse to use it like fans. We cannot use fans; they are British invention. What’s wrong with using fans? What is wrong with making roads (which some Pathans refused to have roads)? Having those things are offcourse not a sin. If we do not produce technology then how are we going to develop our country rapidly? In that way, we left so much behind. Once again these are not my words.

Please do not take these things personally, I am not against Pakistan. I am proud to be Pakistani. But this is a Fact! Like I said above, the things are hidden in Pakistan. I did not know these problems in Pakistan. Once you are abroad from Pakistan, you will find out these hidden things.

Please read it all and sure ask unlimited questions, even stupid ones. I am out for now. Take care everyone. Allah Hafiz.
