Re: should pakistan have been made?was qaid-eazam wrong.
well yes, most are right, we were given a gift, but we didnt appreciate it. however had it not been made, would pakistan be a isolated target for americans now? had we lived in india, we would have been dispersed, living among other religions, the target wouldnt be so obvious. geddit? its like a big arrow pointing towards it, saying come bomb me, i have alll muslims here....
Priorities my friend. I rather be a soft target for someone then live in a world where i won't have full independence to carry out my beliefs and views.

Let's not loose the perspective here. All this "muslim problem" and "soft target" mumbo jumbo started in last decade. It's a PHASE in nation's history (in making). It will end one day. We should not be apologetic OR resent creation of Pakistan because we are at receiving end.
Put it this way, may be now as a nation we are stepping-in in adulthood. We should not expect world to treat us with kiddy gloves. Being soft target is part of it. It all boils down to how we as a nation face this. Take it on chin and fightback OR feel resentful of our own existence and get lost in history books for ever.
Re: should pakistan have been made?was qaid-eazam wrong.
maybe u bought a lollypop from mossad.
Re: should pakistan have been made?was qaid-eazam wrong.
Coin, if you find it offensive, I will take it back.
Let me explain myself, not all Wahabis are extremists, some are really good practicing and god fearing Muslims.
However I will still say that Zia ul haq is not "Shaheed" by any stretch of imagination. :)
if zia ul haq is not shaheed then who is, joseph stalin?
he did what was best under those circumstances.hostile india was in the east and soviet union just 17 km's from our northern border.

Re: should pakistan have been made?was qaid-eazam wrong.
^ Indians need Visa to Balochistan. :D
Re: should pakistan have been made?was qaid-eazam wrong.
we should stop living in the past and stop questioning Pakistan’s existance over and over again, its idiotic to keep blaming the current mess we are in to what happened 60 + yrs ago, maybe we would have been worse off as part of India, who knows. maybe whats happening to adnan sami these days in india would be happening to us too, a legal resident and taxpayer of india is being treated like a criminal all because he is of Pakistani origin, India is still harboring a grudge against us, which is just petty and would hate to be part of a petty nation like that
Re: should pakistan have been made?was qaid-eazam wrong.
Adnan Sami has Canadian Passport, and he works in India on Visa. India does not have any permanent residency status or Indian green card status. He violated Indian law by buying so much property on his current immigrant status in India. He bought 8 flats in mumbai without approval from competent authorities.
Re: should pakistan have been made?was qaid-eazam wrong.
zia ul haq shaheed saved u from soviets who were ofcourse coming for warm waters and in that course he disintegrated soviet union.use some common sense
he also gave us 2nd amendment the best piece of legislation ever.
Zia wasnt responsible for bhutto's assassination but american govt of that time and zionists ofcourse
Zia ul Haq is not a shaheed. He is a murderer and was a corrupt dictator who's misdeeds we are still paying for. He brought in millions of Afghanis to Pakistan which eventually destroyed us. The afghanis brought in terrorism, crime, poverty, drugs and weapons. Taliban have destroyed Pakistan economically and socially. If we remained neutral soviets would treat us like they treated the Indians.
The 2nd amendment you love turned Pakistanis against each other, it only created further divides. The same Ahmadis that sacrificed their lives for the creation of Pakistan were being targeted and killed. Pakistan is the only country in the world that has declared Ahmadis non muslims, who are you to say they are not Muslims.
Yes blame America and jews for everything. Some people like you are worse than India when it comes to the blame game.
Re: should pakistan have been made?was qaid-eazam wrong.
I don't care really about whether Pakistan should or should not have existed. The people of the various locations would have always been there. I consider myself a true patriot to my land of birth and domicile, and also my people and tribesmen/race my parents birth place in the region of what is now under the rule of Pakistan - and I respect the leadership of all of these areas.
I however take a huge dislike to the term "Qaid-e-Azam" being used for Muhammad Ali Jinnah Sahib ... He is not Qaid-e-Azam ... This translates to "The Great Beginner" and for sure this title is one for God not for a man.

Nope - Quaid means ' Leader ' and Azam means ' great' - so by using the -e- conjuction in urdu, it becomes ' The great leader '.. which he was indeed ..
Re: should pakistan have been made?was qaid-eazam wrong.
now i have heard it all on GS

Thank you Naabigh ... I was taking it on the lines that qaid comes from the root of qaidah and hence means something like foundation, basis, beginning, but I see that "leader" can share the root from the the same without an issue. So I stand blissfully corrected.
But even then ... Is he really the great leader? Or is he just the main man who was in office when Pakistan was formed?
Re: should pakistan have been made?was qaid-eazam wrong.
It’s okay … you can rest fine … I take it back. ![]()
