Baluchistan and NWFP are left backward because backward tribals don't want to move with the times and they want to live their own way like you said yourself.

And the federal govn't stealing funds from the provinces have nothing to do with this? How blind can some of you be?

Your prejudices aside it has more to do with being deprived of local resources at the expense of people in the rest of the country. A fact which has plenty of evidence..I find this argument interesting..Pakistan has some 20,000 haris or peasants kept in bonded labour in Punjab, Sind and Baluchistan. The land owned by tehse feudals is kept useless because they have no reason to invest in it..yet you never hear about ceding those areas?

I don't have any prejudices Zakk feudalism should be wiped out wherever it is be it in Punjab or Sindh. I am all for investing more in tribal areas and I believe that the government wants to do so but for that to happen these areas will have to submit to full authority of Pakistan. Why should Pakistan invest in a region which won't accept our rule of law?

Feudal landlords don' accept Pakistans rule of law either..that's why they keep bonded labourers and peasants. Again in case of the tribal areas ( I am repeating myself once again) they accept Pakistani law..it's called the Frontier Crimes Regulations. A black law by any stretch of the imagination..

Here is what FCR has done. Do you see any terrorists?

Feudal Landlords don't have seperate laws or autonomy Zakk. No doubt the laws are abused but there's still a difference. Law enforcement is a seperate issue but yes it needs to be resolved too.

There is no point in this poll

the greatest sin someone could ever do would be destoying a nation, and that is not what we are rying to attain. People like me only want us the Pashtuns to unite, got it.

There are just 10-12 million Pashto speakers in Afghanistan, while there are nearly twice that number in Pakistan (22 million). So if anything the Pashtuns in Afghanistan should unite with their big 'brothers' in Pakistan ;)

yeah i know that bro, out of 26 million, about 13 million are Afghans (Pashtuns), though we have no big brothers, that doesnt mean nothing to us. and i should also tell you that all these Afghans west of Indus River have come from Balkh, Afghanistan about 3000 years ago, so what does this mean? that wasn’t bad enough…

Da Lar Aw Bar Pakhtun Yaw Dai

The Pashtun of North and South is the same. :mash:

Hi, havent posted in a long time, but interested in this topic, so:)
I think, if the Pashthuns really want independance from Pakistan, as much as I hate to admit we should allow them that option. A vote should be held, the same as the did with Quebec in Canada. We can`t hold any province against their will.
On the same token, I think the Afghans and the Pashthuns in general should appreciate that Pakistan exists. If it werent for Pak, and the fact that Peshawar is within Pak, then Pehawar too, would be same war torn city as all the other piles of rubble that the Afghans claim are "cities."
Our Afghani friends should realize that Pak has given them more then they have given Pak. Many Afghans are wealthy bussiness owner in Pak, while the average Pakistani is literally begging. In many places, they have taken away jobs from locals. And what have they given Pak in return? I think we all know the answer to that.
Second, if Pashthuns in Pak (certainly doent apply to all) are so anxious to be apart of Afghanistan, well they should remember that their dominant position as the majority is not much differnt if not worse then the Punjabi majority dominance in Pakistan. Their may come a time when all their ethnic minorities will become fed up with living under Pashthun dominance, and demand their own state.
So, if Pak Pashthuns REALLY want to be free of their "oppressor," then they should be given the oppurtunity, after all, bombed out cities, and country ravaged by war, crime, and attrocities might be more appealing to some then others.

Can Sindhis have a vote to?
