Re: Should Nawaz Sharif attend Narendra Modi’s inauguration as India’s Prime Minister
It is still a delusion, but now coupled with more hilarity and pomposity. ![]()
Grand ambitions need pragmatism and flexibility and civilised execution for realisation. If India is as confident and ambitions as Indians like to boast about, then one they’ll have to get off their high horses and collaborate with other nations. But that’s also a delusion that very much explains the reality why the world hasn’t witnessed another fairytale success and manifestation of civilisation that is European Union. As history proudly narrates the tales in which jingoism always deceived Germany. ![]()
You are more than entitled to keep on alluding that Modi’s chest thumping bravado is still intact and waiting to explode, and it’s something Pakistanis must look out for (lol). For now, a strong diplomatic symbolic gesture has been made, and that’s the end of it. Nothing more and nothing less. You can of course carry on nit picking and downplaying it as much as you like, it’s irrelevant, but very much expected. ![]()
