He should be hung in public by the civilians.... then paraded in front of the army elites as a 'coming attraction' for any future haram khor looking for similar endeavor.
That would be fair by all means, but then we wouldn't be moving forward with a cool-minded mentality; something everyone and their mama is intent on preaching nowadays.
Maybe the public should get to decide his fate with no bias or input/pressure from any politician. Sort of a punishment vote or a poll. <---Something which should apply and be practiced for everyone from now onwards from ministers to President(s), that would keep some in check while allowing the good-doers to get a much needed boost from public and do the righteous work.
