I imagine that many fundamentalist Christians believe Christianity to be the first religion. But they do not believe Islam to be a continuation of their religion, so the idea that Islam was the first religion is a belief unique to Muslims.

I didn't get one thing why you people are always so much obsessed with human-made religions, god & their rules, can't you people find anything better to do than spending your time bickering with each other of what belongs to who, starting wars on the basis of pathetic human-made religious rules. People who can't use their brain, common sense will always be depended on these man-mad religious rules coz they r totally brainwashed. If people were truly willing to face the results of their decisions, they wouldn't need any kind of god who was human nd don't you think so copy pasting rules paragraphs chapter nos. here from Quran, Geeta, Bible blah..blah looks childish?

I am no scholar of the Bible, and this could be a long, detailed answer. Short and sweet - they preached monotheism.
Seminole, muslims should not be believing that Islam was the first religion. If they say that, they are using the term "Islam" to mean the belief in a one true God. Theoretically, according to muslim belief, this idea was introduced to the first man on earth, and therefore has been around way longer than Muhammed's existence on earth. Christians, and Jews believe in the same idea, since we all believe in the Adam and Eve story (even with minor differences).
As far as the Hindus are concerned, yes there might have been some cases where Hindus were converted by force (different levels of force) by some Muslim rulers like Aurangzeb...but there were also rulers like Akbar and Jahangir who were a lot more tolerant towards the Hindus, Sikhs and Buddhists.
aurangzaib was a hypocrite pretending to be a orthodox muslim he waged wars against the other muslims at times employing hindu mercenaries.
akbar was an apostate and jahangir a winebibber

I never disagreed that it was the Muslim belief. Just as it is the belief of many Christians that Christianity was the first religion. But one must be Muslim or Christian to hold that point of view. It is not supported by science or history.

I think over 600 millions hindus choose Islam over Hindusim. They decided to conver to Islam without any sword. Islam is not a new religion as Hindus are claiming these days. Islam is the oldest and the very 1st religion on this world. Islam started from the 1st man (Adam or prophet Adam Alaihissalam and 1st woman (Eve or Howa Alaihissalam). idol worshipping stared after Hazart Nuh Alaihissalam or after the flood. Before the time of Hazarat Hud (Alaihis salaam), Quran mentioned religion of Aad (quum Aad) as Idol worshiper.

I really wonder why you chose the word "JIHAD", which is from an Islamic context when you do not follow any religion. Why the obsession? Are there no parallels to it in other religions or philosophies. It simply means STRUGGLE or in other words Allah SWT laws of cause and affect i.e. work and achieve results.
ISLAM shd not be spread by sword................we shd spread by luring ppl by tempting them with sexual greed, like the 72 virgins story...... WHAT say guys...the best and the most peaceful way to sell Islam to the west !!
