Four Hindu families from Pak seek refuge in India
Amritsar, March 7 (PTI) Stating that they do not wish to return to Pakistan due to Taliban’s tyranny in the tribal areas, a group of 35 Hindus, nearly half of them women, from the neighbouring country have crossed over to India and asked the government to allow them to settle in the country.
“We were living in Pakistan under extreme fear due to the domination of a strong group of Taliban who are running a parallel government,” Jagdish Sharma, a resident of tribal area near Peshawar in Pakistan, said.
I Recounting their ordeal, he said “Hindus and Sikh families are not safe, especially our women. We preferred to migrate in India, at least here in India we know that our families will be safe.” The four families comprising 16 men, 16 women and three children crossed over to India during the last few days through the Attari check post and later went to Delhi where they got a one-year visa and permission to stay in Amritsar.
“We strongly urge the Government of India to allow us to stay here in India permanently, since we don’t want to move back in that hell where there is no life security,” said Sharma.
Hardwari Lal, resident of Orkzai nearly 180 km from Peshawar, said, “I was running my grocery shop there which was forcibly taken over by the fundamentalists who also took possession of our entire property”.
With the kind of problems that we are seeing in Pakistan, I think the Indian government should proactively help these and more families to emmigrate to India.
I feel it is only a matter of time before we have a huge influx of refugees from Pakistan. With Taliban gaining more and more areas under its control, the problem of refugees will start sooner than later. Hence it is important that the Indian government sets up a comprehensive policy so that we dont have criminals/Taliban coming to our country disguised as refugees.
This begs a bigger questions - why do Pakistanis who keep talking about how India treats its minorities fail to look inwards and at their treatment of minorities ? The "opressed" Indian Muslims would prefer to get "opressed" by Hindus in India than go to Pak. Why do the Pak Hindus want to come to India ??

Because we dont wear a fake secular mask, and our minorities are less than 5% of our total population. You guys on the other hand claim to the world you're secular (with significantly larger minorities), and implement the caste system in all your governmental machinery and run the state openly using Ram Raj.

There seems to be an obvious deficiency in the logic of your arguement.

This is what happens when you listen to all this "jehadi" non-sense. You loose touch with reality.
The government has a quota system where in a significant percentage (in some cases upto 50%) of seats in every sphere are reserved for people from different castes and tribes. This is specifically done to improve their lot. Don't know what you mean by Ram Raj ..... again do enlighten us what you have been told about this !!!!!
