j/k j/k j/k
Where do you live? How well do you know her and her likes/dislikes?
Re: Should i send something ?
Well im from UK. Well i think i know her quite well i dont think she would mind but i dont know the state of mind of the parents
Re: Should i send something ?
European Chocolates, maybe some tops/sweater type stuff if she wears things like that, perfume, etc
Re: Should i send something ?
^ good suggestions, especially chocolate,
Re: Should i send something ?
Chocolate is the best!!!
Don't get her clothes - makes you look aunty'ish or that you've been sizing her up.
Re: Should i send something ?
Choclate, perfume, make up...
u can send her books (if she likes to read)
somethin smalls will work too :)
Re: Should i send something ?
chocolates, gadgets or jewelry.
Clothes are too risky. If you buy a size too large, she'll think you find her fat. A size too small = she'll think you're hinting that she should slim down. Trust me ;)
Re: Should i send something ?
I think chocolate is a good suggestion. Also, maybe something like a charm bracelet, or stud earrings, but not something to big or expensive, as you mentioned you havent had an engagement yet. Perfume is also a good idea.
Re: Should i send something ?
i dont know the state of mind of the parents
^ This is your main problem. If this is an arranged type situation, and you two are not officially engaged, then I would not take ANY risks at offending her parents. If her family is conservative, then the last thing you need right now is for there to be some type of "misunderstanding". So be 100% sure that her parents will NOT take offense at her receiving a gift from a guy who's not even her fiance. In addition, make sure you parents are aware that the gift is being sent.
Re: Should i send something ?
What is the status of your relationship, is it baat paaki? I think that is engaged?
I thought the England was known for its sweaters, so you can send that along with a good perfume.
Re: Should i send something ?
Send her a nice box of chocolate. I wouldn't send perfumes or clothing items yet.
Re: Should i send something ?
i think something for the mom to smooth matters over as well :P
Re: Should i send something ?
send her a box of chocolates and a blank journal........but write the first page for her.......ask her to document the trip from now until such time as you guys get married.......
or better yet...write the first entry and ask her to write hers' then have her mail it back to you for the next......will create an amazing documentation of your journey together through life.....
Re: Should i send something ?
oh ...and....send the sweater for the MIL......
Re: Should i send something ?
Just remember there is always a chance your bride-to-be will expect you to out do whatever present you send her now in the future. E.g. send a ring, you may need to dig deeper and buy the chooris next time.
Saw it happen to my uncle. Poor guy, literally.
Re: Should i send something ?
First ever gift I got from my husband was nice DKNY watch, which is quite nice and decent thing to give as a first ever present, So I think u should give her nice watch too.
Re: Should i send something ?
Send her a perfume, chocolate or handbag
Re: Should i send something ?
