Ya i have... it was between Allenora and ather shehzad.... i think my cousin was telling me that his rate is 45,000 whereas Allenora is 35,000 if u want it done by anne. my fiances sister wants me to use Ather, but i havent seen any of his work on family members, Anne my cousin used so at least i have seen a real bride and not model pics with photo touch ups......
by the way where are u doing ur mehandi, in a tent or hall? im not from Pakistan so i love the idea of a tent plus it can be decorated so nice, the only problem is that i havent been able to find any grounds where i can have it done. So for that i have to rely competely on my uncle, i want a nice area with beautiful grounds....R u using a hall or tent?
my outfit i like Bunto, HSY, Rouge and Karma...i'll probably use Karma or Bunto. but it all depends when i get there. Seeing it in reality makes a big difference and how much im willing to spend. I cant' believe how rediculous some prices are for bridal outfits for some designers.

which designers have u shortlisted for the dress wese?im still confused; make up booking isnt an issue if u even get it done in Nov. for a late feb. or early march wedding. For photography i hav to decide btw afzl and nadeem khawar. Afzl was my choice until i met nadeem khawar...i liked his way of doing the albums better and he happens to b da best natural photographer here so wedding shoots is actually a piece of cake for him n his team.

babe if allenora does it wholly then its 50k.35k is wen she does da instructions,eye makeup and final touchup.alot of ppl. are recommending ather so il fix an appointment n see him. den ill let u know as well. Bunto is great but Karachi based so not sure if thats workable for u. Karma is very elegant but dey have become very repetitive so every other bride in my circle ends up wearing the same thing. their designs are so abused in terms of being copied as well.I reaalllyy like ROUGE but they were beyond my budget i.e. have atleast 200,000 for their dress. they could do in a lower budget i.e. 100k but it wud lack the bridal lustre. If they suit your budget, you should go with them. i have their no.s if you want. again not sure how much u wana spend coz it depends on how u think;for me its a limited time wear hence id rather spend on jewellery or gifts for my in-laws family/fiance. however since u r not from Pak. it makes sense to just give it to a designer. my mehendi is in Defence Community Hall. Like u, i have all my guests coming from abroad only so not more dan a gathering of 120 for mehendi and 270 for weddin n valima.my wedding and valima are IA both outdoor events, being held at Jasmine Garden DHA and Model Town D-ground block respectively (Catering by deewan-e-khaas). one thing we considered was distance from my place (since all guests wud b staying dere or close by).both mehendi n wedding venues r 5min drive from my house-makes everything very convenient.

not for wedding photos. he is the best in nature n landscape photography...google him up. see we r going with him also coz my fiance knows him pretty well and he wud allow me to break away from the extremely cliched photography style of afzl- i want some difference btw my album n my friends';). however, thats my preference so if u wana be sure n safe, book afzl. i have his no. if you want.

Also about Ather, other people in Gupshup have mentioned how he is good for photo shot makeup but that his makeup up close at the event is not good? so im kinda confused??

no haven’t heard of him. went to meet this guy Nadeem Khawar yesterday and he was good. Quite afew of the current photographers including Shahnawaz have learnt from him only i.e. were his students. He is professional, discusses how you want the shoot to appear and also gives suggestions for decor,floral arrangement etc. which will look nice through the lens. so for me he is it! let me know if u r interested,.

IA everything will work out. Abhi u have quite sometime. Mine is in Feb. so alil less than 6 months to get done and organize everything..lol!! well for a summer wedding, its better to take halls. In canopies yes u can have ACs but it makes it slightly more expensive with additional requirement of generators as well. Add about 1.5 lacs to your regular bill. If thats ok with you then you can go with it. However generally speaking its just too hot to even organize a tent wedding.

With DHA community centre there is no restriction on how loud the music should be. With grounds, especially if they have an adjoining residential area, you cannot have your mehendi after 12 and yes there you need to have volume controlled as well. We were concerned with the timings at DHA but there are 2 options: either you book 9 to 12 or 10 to 1...for an additional no. of hours beyond that you could just pay Rs. 7,000/hr extra.
As for the cost, with summers and extra generator & air conditioning arrangement, cost per head would go slightly up. When booking grounds, there is a flat rate for that, depending on which area you are getting the ground in and for this you shall be dealing with the area authorities. Catering, decor, lighting and flowers shall be separate and shall b dealt by the caterer.

fari frankly i have no clue abt henna waleez since i havent got to that but ill find out soon and den share the info. as yours is a march wedding, go for a tent mehendi, hire deewan-e-khaas catering and chill! they are very gud at giving ideas too. my valima IA is going to b by dem so if you need info./contact details, lemme know. maybe u can discuss, feel comfortable about dere competence and finalize den.

yeh i found him really nice too. shall definitely recommend him to the lhri brides to be. mine is a 3 day event coverage+2 day bridal/couple shoot+ nikah on the morning of mehendi covered as well. Abhi he has to quote for video so am not sure abt the total package coz he might give a package discount. wil let u know once financial aspect of the deal is settled:)

oh also from your experience or someone you may have known, how does the timing work for photographers? All the good ones that i have looked into have strict 4 hour coverage. But from experience i know when the wedding card says 8 people dont actually come until 9:00 - 9:30....and the weddings can last until 2-3 in the morning...so im kinda worried about that..becoz for the baraat there are soo many things going on and after you still have to go the in-laws house for the photos and traditional rituals....

for model town ground u need residence or permit as well. however nyone who is a resident can book for both DHA and model town..its not an issue really. u can get a 2000 sq. yards ground (dats huge with ample parking space) for upto PKR 24,000.If u need ny help with bookings in these areas u can let me know.
