does qasr e noor have a website? i've tried to find it but no luck, do you or anyone else have any pics? i asked the liberty castle there per head rate and he said 1300-1400 depending on what we choose for food. is this the normal rate for a late feb or early march rental or is he charging me more because i'm a foreigner?
He quoted me different rates and my fiance different when he called him directly (950-1100). plus the rate he gave me is very similar to the royal palm rate i got. i hate it when venue's take advance of people outside of pakistan it is soooo unprofessional, i would except that at the market but not when booking a hall.
when i went to pakistan 3 yrs ago we were at the market and i didnt know the number values in urdu that well so during the bargainig process i kept asking my mom ok what is he saying and the guy caught on and increased his rate and wouldnt go down saying that we had dollars and are being cheap!

hey well i think Liberty castle is just over price...i have seen it frm outside and my mom did go check them out back in 2008 ... even thn he gave her a really high rate. but if i had to choose btw lb or royal plam ...i wuld go with RP.
I booking the Royal Plam Golf & Country Club for my wedding (Baraat). I havent finalized the hall yet. Do any of you have any experiences with the hall? the food, the halls condition, the overall environment?
Any help will be great! Im not in pakistan to physically see the place myself, so im kinda worried.

a) How many guests are you expecting over the wedding?
b) What is you per head budget range?
c) whats your location going to be wen in lhr?
Once you tell that, i can suggest you accordingly. There are better options than Royal Palm as well- their decor is great which has to b since dey are over priced but their food is so-so with questionable service. Also which month is your wedding in?

a) We are expecting about 200-220 its kinda small since im not from pakistan so half my family wont be coming from Canada.
b) Budget wise, i was hoping not to spend more than 1300, i dont wanna waste to much of my dads money so i think thats reasonable.
c)I have family all over the place in lahore so the location for the hall doesnt really matter.
my wedding is after Muharram and safar, so the last week of february or early March the lastest.

oh dats quite a similar scene to my wedding which is in the last week of feb. babe, get ur bookings ASAP since we had quite a masla for venues since those weeks are going to b the busiest. For upto max. of 250 guests go for Qasr-e-Noor. food+decor+flower arrangements+lighting will cost about 950-1000 per head and its going to be great.plus its central location compared to royal palm so wherever u r gona b or ur guests shall b, its extremely convenient. If you need any help, lemme know; ive just got my venues booked recently. howz ur prep comin along?

thanks for the info! a lot of people have mentioned Qasr-e-noor but i cant find a website or any infor on the place? Do you have any pics? the one provide in this forum only shows the exterior.
Im soo worried about the booking...i keep telling my mom you cant wait last min to book the venue, but i also understand her point of view because she keeps saying we cant book it without see it and we werent going to pakistan until late December and i have a feeling that will be to late to get the date i want because its high wedding season. so finally she has agreed and now my uncle in pakistan is in the process of dealing with the halls i told him i wanted so he's looking into them. hopefully i can get my fiance to make small videos of the venues so i can see them and decide....
I really like the Royal Palm because it looks beautiful and modern but i know its nothing special and there high price is mostly because its higher in status in lahore...and im also worried about their food, desi people love their food...lol.... and no one i know has been there before.
i dont even have my wedding outfits yet. so i hope i can get it made within 2 1/2 months...praying and hoping...lol...but most of the pakistani designers i like and have emailed have all said about 1-2 months is what they need.
Who is doing your photos and video? i have 2-3 choices but i cant book them until my hall date is confirmed. i found them all online so im not sure if there are any better, Bhatti photographers, Afzl, and Shahnawaz but not him anymore because i have been reading some bad reviews about him on GupShup.
my make im gonna get done by Alle Nora...and again not booked yet cause no date confirmed...lol...everything is on hold until than...

fari donot wait till the last minute for venue.ill try posting pics from my friendz event which was a mehendi. trust me qasar-e-noor (on main boulevard) is a great location and if u wait til da last min. u wont get the dates. den ud b compromising on location/venue just coz u hav dates fixed. Royal Palm is seriously overrated n too far.

which designers have u shortlisted for the dress wese?im still confused; make up booking isnt an issue if u even get it done in Nov. for a late feb. or early march wedding. For photography i hav to decide btw afzl and nadeem khawar. Afzl was my choice until i met nadeem khawar...i liked his way of doing the albums better and he happens to b da best natural photographer here so wedding shoots is actually a piece of cake for him n his team.

aww rabia dont worry-im sure its 4 da better. only really bad weather so ur arrangements wud need to b according to dat.wt sorta dress do u want for the wedding?just let me know wt all u need help with..am myself getting in gear so IA wil extend as much knowledge n first hand experience as possible. for wedding dress im going to khi and valima im still deciding where to get in lhr.hopefully in a week ill b in a better position.den i shal move to ma jewellery thing. side clothes saath saath hee am doing. where do u live wese?

do your venue booking by nov. though. its not dat easy:)
qasr e noor nauroze(ferozepur road) is better than the main boulevard qasr e noor and not toofar from it as well..hardly 4-5 mins drive !
only if you want ur guests walking a mile from their car to the venue. its a hassle finding parking space dere. not recommended coz its a hassle for the guests.
