Hi!
As some of you know, ill be going to Pakistan. And we are going to stay in Islamabad, so i was wondering how is the shopping in Islamabad, and which stores should i visit? Im mainly thinking of clothes, shoes and etc… Is there anyone who could help me out?

Shopping in Pindi is better. They do have clothes in Islamabad, but there is more variety (and better prices) in Pindi. Depends on what type of clothes you are looking for. For heavier clothes (i.e. for a wedding), then go to Mohsin's or Fashion ka Ghar on Murree Road.

there r some boutiques in pindi one is in saddar there is a girl who makes nice and reasonable clothes her contact number is 03005567788 she evens sends clothes to other countries also u can try her when i went to pak i went to her she really had nice things

Hey!! I just came back from Islamabad abut 2 weeks ago! Well, I usually go shopping in Pindi and i recommend u do too cuz they'll have more of a variety! Anyways, for shoes you can try: Ehsan Chapal House near muree road? its right by KFC...um Metro and Modilla had realllyy nice shoes too. I would definately recommond Ehsan though. For clothes they have Posh boutique and theres a store across from the city center in saddar and they had a HUGEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE variety of clothes! and they were really prettyyy. Mothi bazaar is awesome for clothes too!

Thx to everyone who has replied:) I feel im on the rite track now:) I will be staying there for about 4-5 weeks i guess...how is the stiching phase...does it take too long time to get a dress ready? Im thinking of 4-5 heavy dresses, and some lighter formal or casuals for everyday use.
Since im going in the summer, how is it with summer clothes? what should i be looking for? Ive noticed that ppl who came back from Pak last summer had white salwarein with sitara kaam and printed kameezein in different colours... Is there anything you guyz would recommend? Its been a long time since i was in Pak in summer...
Another question is, should i take with me all my makeup? Or are there any good brands in Pak which i can use while im there? I do have in mind that i wont need to wear A LOT makeup since it will be hot...but some will be needed...And how is it with the sun block? I dont want to end up beeing totally tanned cuz im light sanwli pehle si hi...
I know its about 4-5 months yet till im going to Pak but I like to have a plan so i can stick with it a bit.. thx for taking out time everyone:) you guyz are really helpful:) mwah to all:)

Take your own make up, at least your own foundation .... thank God I took my own for my wedding. I would have died if I had to use the crap Mee Lee puts on her brides.

I usually use powder foundation, will that have the same good effect in Pak, thinking of the warm weather.. or should i reconsider a fluid foundation? Dont they have the usual european makeup brands in Islamabad, i heard they had it in Lahore though…maybe its just me who is confused..?

Unfortunately, Islamabad doesn't really compare to Karachi & Lahore in terms of shopping opportunities. The best stores in the city are in Jinnah Super Market in F7...there's a store there called Reet that I really like...

Some of the better name salons in lahore will use american/european makeup on you, but i don’t know abotu Islamabad. But just to be on the safe side, definitely take your makeup wiht you. If you need to, buy some new makeup from here, keeping in mind the temperature while ull be there.

yea i'd tell u to take ur own make up too! and sitaarey are stil out!! EVERYTHING has sitarey on it!!! it's sort of insane but yea theyre out and sheeshay are too. and sheeshay on the v-necks...

heyy im also going pakistann is junee going to islamabaddd ... i would say the same muree road and jinnah super try outt... milli shoes have niceeeeee shoes there..... i went few years bak n was tryna find shalimaar shoes (unze shoes) but i coudlt find so came bak to london n asked the shop itselff and they said the stuff dat is sent here is different and better dan the stuff they stockk in der shops and he said ders not one in pak but der mustt beee... im goin inshallah to get engagedd in junee so ill be payin a trip to mohsin and sons firstly den to other places...its gonaa b boilinggggggggggggggg but makeup from here is a mustt... i put on body shop foundation all in one base dat workss best for me lolllll im stocking up on dem tho never knoo might start cuming off ;)...

Oh I just remembered don't forget to try out Blue Area. Khaddi's and other outlets are great in Blue Area.

Firstly, so sorry that i havent been able to reply you all! I've just had lot to do due to my ammi ji being in Pakistan.
Thanks to everyone, specially thanks for the pictures mama ki dua:) I have noted everything down so i remember it when im in Pak:) thx again everyone!
Now I got another question ... What kind of fabric should i look for, what is good and what is bad? I will be getting some suits made with kaam and all that, and others stiched from the darzi. Is there any darzi who is good in his job? Someone you guyz would recommend?

Sadia_86: For your kaam wale suits try the shops in Rawalpindi next to Mohisn and sons. Don't go to them, they literally rip u off and let ur mum barter. Do not speak english infront of them. LOL. There are lots of kaam wale shops in that market. The market will be on the right side you'll be able to see it, i'm sure who ever u'll be going with will know where it is.
