looking for a glen plaid blazer/sportcoat dark plaid, navy, grey, black etc
prefer monochromatic or a combo of the above colors.
not a really dressy one, one of the chunkier heavier wool types.
it will never be worn with shirt and tie combo or for formal events , but cords/jeans/flannel and sweaters/button downs/polos

Two buttons? Then you're looking for a blazer.
But then you'll have to contend with the metallic buttons.
Although if you're looking for wool, you'll have to go with the blazer.
Check out Macy*s, they have an excellent collection.
Also try Brooks Brothers; they're slightly over your budget but excellent quality stuff.

that is all well, except of two issues,
they don’t really know how to do justice to suits in Pakistan
plus I don’t want to go to Pakistan.
does not have to be a blazer, can be sports coat as well, they come in 2 or 3 buttons. and i don’t mind metallic buttons as long as they are not the gaudy brass ones, plus I can always change em. macys does not have anything like it, did the macys, jcrew, brooks, banana republic rounds over the weekend. jos a bank has something close, and on sale, may just go with that even though its center vent instead of side vents and a little dressier than i wanted. brooks does great stuff, but they don’t have it.

ahh brooks had something on their site which was not in the store, thanks gdisa. i would not have checked the site otherwise. its a little lighter than i want and may be more dressy but will see if they can get it in the store and then try it out. looks like the way i want to rock it in the last pic

I have bought tons of stuff from maces, almost always get a good deal on cK suits which fit me well, but did not find the specific item I was looking for.
