There has been a shooting incident at Eaton Centre in Toronto. the shooter apparently was targeting someone and as a result he killed one person and injured 7 others, out of which 3 are in serious and 1 is in critical condition. the shooter has escaped…the hunt is on to capture him.
my niece works very close to the centre and she passes through the mall almost daily…please pray for her safety and the safety of everyone else. May Allah protect everyone from such crazy/criminal people…aameen

the media is pointing finger at 'gang war' ... the police also alluded to this fact by saying that the nature of bullet wounds suggest it was an over kill. the deceased was targeted and he was chased into the mall where shooting started. wallaho 'aalam bissawaab.
I feel for the 13 year old that lies in an induced coma fighting for his life…what did that poor kid do but come for an afternoon outing?

The apparent target of Saturday’s gunfire, Mr. Hassan died at the scene from multiple gunshot wounds. and investigators believe his death was “targeted.” Mr. Hassan was “known” to police and while investigators are hesitant to say Saturday’s fracas was gang-related, they suspect Mr. Hassen had gang ties. Sunday morning, Mr. Hassan’s body was removed from the mall by a pair of men in three-piece suits believed to be working for the Ontario Coroner.
yeah.....there has been......but this is still only the 21st murder of the year.....not too bad.
just ticks me off when there is gang-related stuff
not that the other murders are any less significant or to be condoned but this is just not necessary
there should be a crackdown and clean up of gangs
apparently there is some indication that the 23 year old guy with multiple bullet wounds may also be involved and associated with gangs.....

Thank God you left just before all this happened. my niece works very close to the Centre and she passes thru the mall everyday. she sometimes has lunch there. being a Saturday, she was home that day. Thank God.
it's really surprising that no arrests have been made as of yet because the perpetrator of the crime must have been caught on CCTV...they are everywhere in the mall. the police must release the picture of the shooter, if they have any, so he could be identified by the public. it's scary to think that this shooter is still at large.
