guess what? i read a somewhat similar news in Pakistan Post (anyone who lives around DC/VA/MD area, might be fimiliar with this newspaper).
Except in this case, two trees were being married

I am from Quetta…and yes, it does happen in qaba’ili ilaqas, but rarely. I was there last year, and one of my childhood pathan friends was married to a qabaili dude, thank goodness, he was a little educated. And yes, they paid like 1 lakh for her to be married to him.
