Shoaib mansoor is going to introduce a couple of new faces in this flick . He's working on the music these days - read in khabrain newspaper.

Atif Aslam?? Have we ran out of professional actors in Pakistan? As for the title 'Bhool' hints at a very dramatically charged film like KKL.

Only SM would know about the whlole cast.
As far acting is concerned SM has worked with a lot of non-actors but they have all performed well under him like in ABC and even in KKL(Iman and Fawad).

Atif** plays a middle class low profile **doctor*. **Shooting begins in March 2010, and I heard it's supposed to be **out in June 2010, but you should never take filming schedules to be set in stone. Basically, according to Atif, he started his singing career in Pakistan, Pakistan made him who he is, and therefore **he wants to start his debut in acting in Pakistan. He had other offers from India, but decided against them. **If anything, if it's under Shoaib Mansoor, I'm sure it won't dissapoint, regardless of the actor.* *Remember, Faraz in Alpha Bravo Charlie wasn't even in the entertainment industry, he was a local banker in Islamabad. *

^ i think he's got a small role - the focus seems to be on the female leads (Iman, Mahira and Humaima).

^ dude i don't think iman is casted in the movie i think its just mahira and humaima as the female leads...had iman been casted there would have been some sort of news confirmation about it but there is none out there.
I did get this news from another pakistani forum so guess u guys should take it with a pinch of salt...I remember KKL having numerous rumours about the cast, story etc..
However, possible reason for Iman not appearing in the main Instep article alongside Mahira and Humaima is that she's not making her 'debut' into pakistani cinema...Shoaib Mansoor has used Iman for past two projects. Just wishful thinking on my side...
and what kind of projects await the likes of Anwar Maqsood, Moin Akhtar, Bushra Ansari, etc in India that will properly utilize their talents? is Moin Akhtar supposed to stoop to the Johnny Lever level comedy now? Anwar Maqsood, imo, is now washed up. but when he was at his peak (Studio Dhai, etc), do you seriously think his sense of humor would have been a hit in India? I can see the vintage Umar Sharif hitting it big in India but not the Anwar Maqsood from 80s and 90s. same goes for Bushra Ansari.
just because their films make a boatload of money doesn't mean they make good films. more money != good films. movies like Transformers etc make a lot of money but they're not good films. films like Frailty, A Simple Plan, Black Balloon, etc might not be massive commercial hits but they're good films. there's a difference between a commercial hit and a good film.
why do Pak actors/actresses want to go there? obviously because they want to make money and do well for themselves as individuals. which is fantastic. more power to them -whoever they are. if you're going to work for more fame/money, then it doesn't matter if it's Meera, Juggan, Umaima (who is she) or Mona Lisa.
but how does it help Pakistan's film if quality artists like Bushra Ansari, Sonya Rehman, etc go to India?

Shoaib mansoor definitely knows better what their capability is and he's in a better position to decide who suits what role.
Shoaib Mansoor has extracted award worthy performances out of amateurs... the man can do anything and I'm sure he'll get at least decent performances from these new faces as well.
^ bollywood is NOT looking for anwer maqsoods or bushra ansaris, you think they will be given the same stature they have in Pakistan? have you seen javed sheikh's roles in bolly movies? tv's giant humayun saeed did a movie with mahesh bhutt last yr in india, did anyone even hear about it? did it get any publicity or recognition in india? we consider him as one of our country's best and over there he is labelled mediocre, its sad. there is absolutely no harm in working in india, but for a superstar of one country to work in a low budget flick as a side or an extra in another country, is very demeaning.
secondly, i think one of the reasons bollywood is on the map is because they are not afraid to experiment. while we are stuck in our cubbyholes, they are always on the lookout for young talent, new ideas/concepts, they are progressive who move ahead with times, they believe in giving the new lot a chance. new faces keep popping up on their scene, they suck at first, give out flops after flops but eventually can be groomed under proper direction.
we on the other hand, are way too judgemental in putting down our artists, if they happen to do one bad project thats it they are labelled a 'humiliation' for life. this is the exact mentality the tv heads and movie heads have, same old network, same old faces, refusing to groom and experiment with the newer lot, new ideas. and then we have the audacity to whine about same old faces on the screen and a non-existant cinema!
I second you Dramaybaaz, our film and TV industry don't innovate. One of the reasons of Lollywood's downfall, that she didn't introduce new actors. They kept using the same actors over and over again until they ran out of "juice". Throughout the 70s or the 80s how many new talent was introduced: very few. While Bollywood kept on introducing new heros and heroins making them famous at the same time introducing more new actors.
