Shoman knows his stuff and he is obviously gonna have an awesome movie with bol

*and I know I say that we don’t have any other good directors but that’s simply because in the last maybe 50 years the only pakistani film I’ve seen is khuda ke liye…I saw some classics which were interesting but that’s it…I’m going into my 20s very soon and noone in my generation knows if any other pk directors besides shoman…he is the only one that has proved himself as a director

Samina Peerzada made a very good film called “Inteha”. It wasn’t a kotha film in the tradition of Majajans, ZilleShahs, the Gujjars and now THIS film from Shoaib Mansoor…it actually dealt with marital rape and was pretty nicely done. Too bad they never released a decent print on DVD and the movie is thus lost to history and she didn’t make any decent film after that.

The only film I can think of besides that one is Syed Noor’s only watchable flick “Sargam” that came out in the 90s and that is actually worth your time. He’s totally useless now though.
