People People!!! The man has done it again! Pakistan’s and perhaps Indo-Pak’s greatest director/producer/composer/writer has struck again with yet another awsome project of his. It’s a song that i just watched on Geo and IM today, sung by Nayyara Noor probably but it’s the lyrics, composition, video and the story board, all done by the legend of a man Shoaib Mansoor himself, that are just beyond description! those who are shoaib mansoor fans must get ready for this real treat! i won’t kill the suspense by telling you guys anything about the song and it’s video, just wait and watch and please do let me know how you all like it.

True, Shoaib Mansoor is beyond compare. He's brilliant, simply that. He wrote the whole Hum Tum album for VS except for Jeetain Gay. Brilliant and beautiful.

I've heard that all their best songs are written by him, but I haven't seen any proof. The Hum Tum thing I got from the inside album cover.
Ok i just inquired about this video from my cousins in Lahore here is what I found out. First of all the singer isn't Nayara Noor but Shabman Majeed. Model is Iman Ali in Anar Kali get up and the song is Bus Ishq Mohabbat Apna Pun.

most of VSs and JJs songs are written by Shoiab Mansoor and Sunehrey Din from 1991 and Alpha Bravo Charlie were also his brilliant ceations. not to forget the 'Ishq' song from last year.
the voice of shabnam majeed does sound a lot like Nayyara Noor though, and Nayyar of course is another one of Pakistan's greatest talents.
the video is based on the famous love affair between prince Saleem(later emperor Jehangir) s/o Moghul emperor Akbar, with an ordinary girl Anarkali. those who know the tale would know the rest and for those who don't, wait and see. i'm not sure though if Anarkali ever existed or is it only a legend...?
they have used Persian too, which makes it even grand.
Anyone seen the guys and gulls series? Loved it!!! I beleive it had seperate shows by JJ, Salman Ahmed, The guy who played Jinnah, Captain Abdullah (capt kashif from ABC), and there were one or two more, cant remember!

Yeah I have that on tape, gulls and guys. Salman tries to make a living out of just playing guitar on the streets of London and people we paying him money. When he had enough for food, he packs up, get something to eat and starts it again. They had all these scenerios it was actually very cool.

Yes, that was a nice show indeed. Salman did a good job with London too... The part I loved most was when he said that people often call british born pakistan as being BBCDs, but in reality those guys were way more patriotic than other Pakistanis, and their support in the world cup 99 was an example of how much they loved Pakistan!

last i heard his movie project is already underway and he's called Zara Sheikh for screen test. But the source is a free local urdu paper so there is probably not that much weight into it but Jami for sure is making a movie and a commercial one at that.
