So Malik left training camp for a Dancing show in India with Sania…What sort of Professionalism is this?
Afridi and Ajmal were not allowed to leave the camp to play in BBL but Malik was given permission for a dancing show
The man is such a politician just keeps getting selected cz of Appa Firdous nothing else
Re: Shoaib Malik (What sort of Professionalism is this)
May be you didnt read what Misbah said…Afridi performed in the practice matches and he said if he contiunes his form he can be recalled now from where the social contacts came from..Afridi has never ever used his contacts to stay in team he has always performed and stayed in the team and now when he didnt performed he is dropped from ODI
Didnt expected that kind of comment from you Asif bro
Re: Shoaib Malik (What sort of Professionalism is this)
They are all ‘players’ be it Malik or Afridi. I would have selected one of the two, Razzaq or Afridi, but let’s also accept that Afridi is not the player he once was. 5-10 runs with the bat is just not good enough at this level
His ODI record against India is pretty ordinary
1468 runs at 24.88 (not bad for an ODI all-rounder) but
38 wickets at 58.21 is an abysmal bowling record - and presently he can only justify his place in the team as a bowler! HowSTAT! Player Analysis by Opponent (ODI)
Re: Shoaib Malik (What sort of Professionalism is this)
A player is judged by his average ((batting, bowling (+SR and economy)) and not just the sheer number of runs or wickets (obviously the more games you play the more runs you will score and the more wickets you will take etc.). Afridi's batting average is fine but bowling performance against India is below par.
Malik does not deserve a place in either limited overs side at present on the basis of his recent performances. And agreed that was quite unprofessional (if true)
Re: Shoaib Malik (What sort of Professionalism is this)
and by the way i see malik's participation in this show a service to Pakistan as it will imporve our image globally...good job malik..keep it up and dont fall into tableeghi jamat trap....
we dont need freakin yusaf, inzi or shahid afrdid with their fake religious cermenoies all the times!!!
Re: Shoaib Malik (What sort of Professionalism is this)
Come’on he is preparing for his life-after-retirement, can he not do that?
On a more serious note, why is he allowed to leave even if he asked for it before-hand? Is other event more important? His job is to play cricket for Pakistan and that is what he is paid for.

yaar we dont know all the background..he did take permission from the coach..it was literally for one nite...i mean India is just a few hr fight...he is not seleted for ODIs anyway...in context, no big deal....they had committed to this dance competition as a pair long time ago...now if he had left in the middle of a series, that is different..
