On smooth guy’s purzoor israar, I present to you Shoaib Akhtar’s Fan Club. Doesn’t matter what you think about his off-the-ground antics and his senseless bowling, the guy surely makes the pulse beat faster… be it trapping the batsman LBW or being smashed for a six over long on (by Balaji, of all the people). Love him or hate him. You just can’t ignore him.
All his fans, show up in this thread.
Here is a pic for your pleasure and to start you off.
*He **should** be made captain of the Pakistan side after Inzi. He is the **only** source of firepower in the current Pakistan side. I, for one, am certainly not on the Anti-Shoaib bandwagon like the rest of the sheep on these forums. In short, the current Pakistan team would be incomplete without this man. People, That Is All.*

The way he bowls in tense situations tells us very well about he is gonna do with captaincy. The captain needs to hold onto his nerves in the crunch moments. He has shown his failure repeatedly on several occasions. WC99 final + March 1, 2003 are one of the examples. Not to forget his selfishness during Ind/Pak series this year.
^^Yeah...but only by grabbing media's attention with fast (reckless)deliveries and big mouthing. Not by his performance though. He was a mediocre and still is. I place him in Saleem Jafer and Aqib Javed's catagory.
Shoaib can take any wicket with pure speed alone. His downfall is usually down to injuries gets loads of them ut he does have massive amounts of stress on his body. IMO he is not in the same league as Wasim Akram lacks the control he had. If Shoaib can become more controled in his bowling i.e. not letting the ball go wide past the keeper once every few overs or inviting a easy sixer he could become one of the best.
