It depends on the couple, how strong each of their beliefs are..and family. How much family input are they each willing to accept, and is the guy/girl willing to take a stand if the families try to butt in, with what they THINK is the way the kids should be raised..or even if they try to tell guy/gal to change the other one. I personally would advise against it, there can be many unforeseen problems later down the road. I know of a couple where while they were madly in love & wanted to get married, and made promises to each other how they'd respect each other's views....but that changed once kids came into the picture. The guy promised his family's views wouldn't be imposed on her or kids. However when the time came, he wasn't able to stand up and tell his family not to butt in. So they had a lot of strife.
