On Sunday night, Shiney’s 18-year-old maid accused him of rape, when both of them were alone at his flat.
The complaint was registered at Oshiwara police station and police reached Shiney’s flat last night when he was partying with his friends. They charged him under section 376 of the IPC and Shiney spent Sunday night in the lock up.
Niket Kaushik, Deputy Commissioner Police, Mumbai confirmed that a case was registered against Shiney Ahuja and investigations were on from their side.
The maid was employed at Ahuja’s home since 45 days.
According to her statement to police, Shiney’s wife and child had gone out when the incident happened.

Albeit, Shiney Ahuja is yet to make a perfect mark as a Bollywood hero, his rape act id giving him an even greater mileage by sending his career spiraling downwards.
And that’s what the saying tells – either be famous or notorious.
Filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt - “It is a shameful act and it must be condemned. He has confessed and he will be in big trouble.”
Vinod Pande - “When I worked with him he did not come across as that sort of person.”
Mohit Suri says, “Every actor has some attitude. Shiney had a bad temperament.”
But rather surprisingly, this is not the first time a film member is accused of rape.
In the 1980s, actor Aditya Panscholi was accused of allegedly raping Pooja Bedi’s maid. Similarly, in 2004, Madhur Bhandarkar was accused of rape by starlet Preeti Jain.
Will this affect his film releases? Will his image take a beating?
I hope he gets punished. Guys like these think it's easy to take advantage of girls and they won't say anything. I am happy for the person who dared to speak up.

Yet another Media trial? Remember what happened in the Arushi murder case? After that nothing at all can be trusted. It is amazing to see that-
1. What should be confidential with the police supposedly leaks out from "our reliable sources"
2. Medical reports leak out - or so at least the media says
Now all of us are jumping to conclusion! If he is guilty, police have all the opportunity to nail him without leaking things out to make it sensational. If the poor girl has suffered, why doesn't everyone including the police, the medial, leave her alone at least now and let her get justice?
After all this drama, I hope this case does not go the same way as Arushi murder case. They first arrested her father and maligned him, then transfered the case to CBI and now what?
He is innocent until proven guilty. I can come up with a bunch of reasons why someone would want to frame him, but I would rather not speculate and let the law take its course.
