"""""""salam to all people.
please allow this jahil to say something. there is a hadith of our Prophet Mohammed (P.B.U.H.) which means that his sahabis are like stars, whichever we follow we shall be rightly guided.
Who knows better than Allah??? a1shah? Sheraz etc?? Allah told Prophet (P.B.U.H.) whoever munafiq was, right? howcome we after 1400 years decide who is munafiq, who is "momin", who is "kafir" ??? did Allah give us the authority? did Allah give powers to us to decide who we allow to enter Heaven or Hell?
who are the ten from "ashara mubashhara" ???
THE Decision is Allah's only, and HE knows the BEST. We should stop accusing each other of treason/traitory/etc and do our faraidh as Allah told us. I'm sure Shi'it and Sunni beleive in all the five pillars, and have same "kalima". whatever, bottomline is
La ilaaha illa-Allah Muhammad-ur-Rasool-ul-Allah.
We, the Muslims, are facing crisis after crisis. and what are we still doing? fighting for what happened 1400 years ago.
""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""
dear bhai
you have given answer in your statement , actually this is the problem unless you dont have truth with you will not go forward and so muslims are from 14oo years as this is basic and first step if you will not recognise th roots how will you climb the tree you first step is always there ..................
Ihate to be a part of this debate but I just want to comment on the hadith that the earlier poster was talking about.
SOURCES OF HADITH “MY COMPANIONS
ARE LIKE STARS” ARE WEAK
After quoting this hadith in his Sharhu’sh-Shifa, v.II, p.91, Qazi Ayaz says
that Darqutni in his Faza’il and Ibn Abdu’l-Birr say that this hadith is not
authentic.
It is also narrated from Abd Bin Hamid in his Musnad who quotes from Abdullah Ibn Umar that Bazar refused to acknowledge the authenticity of this hadith. Also he says that Ibn Adi quotes in his Kamil with his own references from Nafi, and he from Abdullah Ibn Umar, that the sources of this hadith are very weak. Baihaqi is also reported to have written that the matter of this hadith is commonly known but its sources are weak.
Among the sources of this hadith are Harith Bin Ghazin, whose character is unknown, and Hamza Ibn Abi Hamza Nussairi, who was charged with lying. The weakness of the hadith is evident. Ibn Hazm also says that this hadith is a fabricated one and is to be rejected.
So in our argument we cannot rely on a hadith with such a weak chain of sources. Even assuming, however, that the hadith were correct, it could not be applied in the general sense; it would refer only to the devoted and pious companions who, in accordance with the command of the Holy Prophet followed the book of Allah and the holy progeny of the Prophet.
The Qur'aan testifies to the Holy Prophet PBUH Wives as being the Mothers of all Nations, but you still slate them and disbelieve.
The Qur'aan testifies for the Sahaaba as having sacrificed more for Islam than any other people, but you still slate them and disbelieve.
The Qur'aan testifies that the Holy Prophet PBUH was illiterate and only spoke what Allah SWTA ordered him to speak. This is why the Qur'aan was the Miracle of Miracles!
but you still slate him and disbelieve.
Like Allah SWTA, has said 'even with all the evidence in front them, they will still disbelieve'.
The Qur'aan is the word of Allah SWTA and you still tend to disbelieve what it says. The above are a prime example.
The Qur'aan is personally protected by Allah SWTA, and therefore can never be changed despite your Imaaams arranging, re-arranging, adding and subtracting ayats etc as you have stated.
The fact of the matter is, we have been given the greatest gift of all, and that is the gift of CHOICE!
You can choose to accept or decline.
You can choose to believe or disbelieve.
You can choose to hate or love.
The decision lies with the individual.
You choose your path and I choose mine.
Very simple logic.
The big difference here is that you slate the very Muslims who were the bedrock of Islam at the beginning, and have a much higher station than you and I will ever have in this World and in the Hereafter.
One word comes to mind: HYPOCRYTES! of the first degree!
sholay u got the whole impression wrong. Shias are not against sahabas. Infact shia books go as far as saying that some sahabas were at almost same rank as ambiyas. We love great sahabas like hazrath Abuzar Ghafari, salman Farsi, Addi, AMmar yasir etc etc. We just dont like the ones who turned their backs against prophet.
If you read the quran then you van find quite a few ayats about them. As far as prophet's wives go, they r ummul baniin and every has to respect them. Although Qurna iteself talks about "2 of the wives" having twisted hearts and planning a mischevious act against the Holy Prophet (pbuh).
Please have a little read of the Holy Quran before passing any judgements. wallah o aalam.
