We are sunni living in lahore…my sister is getting married to shia boy.
my questions is:
whether she get sunni nikah or shia nikah does it matter? from what i have found out nikah nama is same right?
nikah happens at home…does nikah also get registered at some office in Pakistan? is it possible to find out from the official record if dulha dulhan were shia or sunni? someone told me that it is mentioned in official record who “nikaah-khawaan” is and from that it can be checked because he has to be registered as shia or sunni… please clarify someone with experience

Meri observation tu ye hy ky Shia larkian kabhi bhi nikah sunni tareqy sy nahi perhwatin. Larka at the End shia hi ho jata hy Eid nahi Muharam per larki ki amad must hy apny waldain ky ghar or main hyran hon aisy kiya guts hain in larkion main ky larky apna mazhab chor daity hain:hmmm:
all i want to know is that lets say in future if someone wants to check k nikah sunni tareqy so hoa ya shia tareqy se is it posible? i saw nikah nama and in that no mention of sunni shia

First of all i don't if their is any difference between suni/shia nikkah. Even if it is then the girl should follow her going-to-be husband side, just for the sake of future. Some time problem arise in future in this kind a condition !

boy is willing for sunni nikah he does not have a problem but wants to check that in gvernment records will it be documented as just a nikkah or as shia or sunni nikah because he says that will affect his children in future

The only difference between the two nikkah is the condition of permission of father and two witness. The sunni side abide by these rules and the shia side do not have these conditions for nikkah. Both nikkahs are valid non the less and there should not be any problem.
bebo do you know what the process is in pakistan? is nikkah registered with some government organizatn? can it be checked if nikah was sunni or shia nikah later on?

Bahi Sahab thats why i write before, don't force the guy just tell him do according to his way. It will save you from alot of problems in future !

oh bhai jee kya probelm lai kar beht gae hoo...i don't think koi problem ho ga waisai...nikkah should be done according to guy wish...not girl wish. nasal baap sai banti hai...samaj ayee...jab larka aur larki razi tu kya karae ga kazi...app apnae parents ko bolain zyda zid na karain...aur beti ko dua dain bas. :)
