There are bordeline cases on both sides. One of my Shia friend refers Ameer Muawiya as ‘yazeed ka jo baap tha na’. Yes better to be away from this. We should not fight for 1400 years old conflict in short.

What ever but I’d never name my son Muawiya either. You’d note that no one from Sunnis takes the name of Yazid, and even Muawiya. Some LEJ/AWSJ people I have seen with the name Muawiya.
