to brpther mercenry2k.....its excepted in book 100 great personalities by Willaim Heart under the topic of umar bin khattab(ra) which he placed at 52. that umar forces when conquered persia and byzantines....persons of that area are not forcefully converted into islam....but many themselves latter on moved to islam by seeing the beautiful concept of equality.....
amd many great western historians also have the same idea....may be in some cases...in some places...there were incidences of forceful conversions...as all people are not so true muslims as others....but by and large......all conversions were from people's own core of heart...

and to brother **ravage....i agree with you ...this is a very unfortunate **ritual that cheemas will mary cheemas and rajput will marry only rajputs etc etc...i consider it complete nonesense as many sayyid girls for the whole of life remained without marriage as thier match sayyid boy not found...this is the worst and shameful crime against these innocent sayyid girls...and blame goes directly to ther parents and family ....

khanababax...thankyoui for the fatwa...i am not even the foot-level of such great scholars...but just for the sake of information...kufr means the negation of Allah and not accepting muhammad(pbuh)as the last prophet(pbuh)...caliphate is a political issue...is the difference of opinion also brings the man to kufr...i mean to say...if some people consider ali(ra) to be better as caliph no. 1...still this thing will leads to kufr...as going against the "Ijma" really brings a man to kufr...i am asking just to increase my knowledge....

infact all zaidi shias accept 3 caliphs as right caliphs...just say that ali(ra) was most pious of all...so he should be the first...but since he accepted 3 caliphs...we also accept the 3 caliphs....

I dont think you can marry a christian or a jew girl, unless she accept the ISLAM before marriage because which books you are talking about . All the books of GOD except quran has been altered so they are not book of the God any more.
And one ayat of quran i want to write here which says " Yahood or Nisaar cant be your friend" . If they cant be your friend how can she be your wife ?

Your argument is valid if you can prove that their book (Bible) was unaltered at the time Quran was revealed, and is altered afterwards. Can you prove that?
As most of us know, christians at the time of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) were already committing shirk by claiming that (Naozbillah) Jesus is the son of God and other altered beliefs. Despite all that, Quran differentiates christians from other mushriks. While those who believed in many gods (idolators) are called mushrik, christians are repeatedly referred to as People of the Book.
So, I suggest we do not innovate in Islam, and understand the commands (permissions and prohibitions) of Quran as they are.
By the way, as a hint, I suggest you guys focus on the word "chaste" in the ayat 5:5, and understand why its inserted there and what is the meaning of it.

And shia's believe they came into existense after it so this way they are not muslims but overall they are muslims because they believe in one God and one prophet so they can be called muslims. And i think as far as i know you can even marry ahle kitaab.
Somebody has misinformed you, Shia believes that the came into existence on the very first day of the preaching of Islam i.e. Dawtul Zul Asheera.

To find out about the shia Islam go to: al-islam.org. Very useful and has tons of info on Shias. BTW-be Sunni,Shia,sufi,etc,etc..WE R ALL MUSLIMS. I am tired of hearing about ppl saying "oh shias arent really Muslim" One of my shia friends went to a halal market during ramadan and the man behind the counter ignorantly said to her "I'm sure you didn't fast today because your a shia" WTF..she did fast and did so for the whole month. And NO..Shias DO NOT pray to Imam Ali..astagferAllah they pray to only ALLAH (SWT) and five times a day at that too. How would you know what were the teachings of Ahlulbayt [as] since your ancestors had cohsen the other path i.e path of the Nasibi and Khariji people? Since your roots lies in Nasibism and Kharijism, therefore you dont have any right to comment on the relationon of Imams [as] with their Shias.

Even if most of the Shias pray at three times then there is nothing wrong in it since thats the teachings of Prophet [s] and Thaqlayn, and in case any of your mullah had hidden it from you, then there is a complete chapter of combining prayers in one of your esteemed book Sahih Muslim.
And stop lying about Shias, there is no such belief that we attribute to Imams [as] that were never attribtued to Prophet [s].

KHOMEINI ON QURAN IN HIS “KASHFUL ASRAR”
*“TAHREEF (deliberate alteration of words to change the meaning of the holy books, namely, the Bible, etc.) is that fault which Muslims accuse Jews and Christians of indulging in, has proved to be found in the Ashaabs (of Rasoolullah - sallal laahu alaihi wasallam).” *(KASHFUL ASRAR, PAGE 114)
*“It was easy for the Ashaabs (of Rasoolullah - sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) to remove verses from the Holy Quran and deliberately add verses to it, and in this way forever concealing from the people of the world the true Quran.” *(KASHFUL ASRAR, PAGE 114)
Yes, the above shocking statements are in Khomeini’s book. Yet, it is the firm belief of the Muslims that the Holy Quran is the direct Word of Almighty Allah. The Holy Quran has been protected from any type of changes, removals and additions of verses or increase in volume, by Almighty Allah Himself.
But, in the corrupt Shia propagation of Islam, the present day Quran is accepted as a changed version like the Tauraat and the Bible. And according to Mr. Khomeini, the Sahaba-i-Kiraam of Rasoolullah *(sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) *had prevented the entire world from gaining access to the original Quran. MA’AAZALLAH! Allah forbid!
The Shia’ite belief on the Quran even insults the glorious Khulafa-e-Rashideen, whose names are mentioned from the mimbars of every Masjid in the Khutbah in every Jummah; those two Khulafa (Hazrat Abu Bakr and Hazrat Umar) who are resting alongside of Rasoolullah (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) under the Green Dome; and those upon whom thousands of Muslims around the world send their Tribute and Salaams.
Sayyiduna Ali (radi Allahu anhu) himself makes mention of the great service that Sayyiduna Abu Bakr Siddique (radi Allahu anhu) had provided to the Holy Quran. In the introduction of “FATHUL BARI”** and “KANZUL A’MAL” appears a narration of Ibne Mubarak that Hazrat Ali (radi Allahu anhu) stated that:
“In the service (compilation) of heavenly books (MASAAHIF), Hazrat Abu Bakr (radi Allahu anhu) would receive the greatest reward. May Allah’s Mercy be on Abu Bakr (radi Allahu anhu). He was the first person to have started the compilation of the Holy Quran (Kitabullah).”
