Bilawal is a joke, living in lalaland...
sherry has no importance in the party... i personally like her, brave educated lady... she stood up for the media once too and ever since then shes just been sidelined and has no authority... her party dissed her with this law; taseer was the only backer she had. fauzia wahab and that firdos aashiq awan outweigh her too (literally and figuratively) on this stance...

doesnt matter if they ultimately didnt prevail or were sidelined. they are still prominent politicians, more than we can say for any other party.

so a party chairperson, a governor and an MP and former minister are not prominent. tell you what, lets have ANYONE of the same level from any other party consistently hold a stand before the media on this issue, and then we'll talk.

Not really... you are just fixated on one thing... you believe the law is wrong and you want every politician to try and repeal it and thats the yardstick to judge their sincerity...sorry buddy but a VAST majority of people in the country has no issues with this law, and they don want to repeal it, just like many politicians... you are admiring his highness bilawal/sherry just cuz they opposed the law, similarly others will have the same wet dreams about those who want to hold onto it...

you just cant bring yourself to give credit to the PPP on any issue, and you cant bring yourself to condemn your chosen ones on any issue either. I look at issues in isolation. People dont need to be black and white in totality, and giving credit to Sherry/Taseer/Bilawal on this issue does not mean I endorse every stand of theirs.
You on the other hand need to paint people as black and white, not me. That the VAST majority of people dont want to change it is shameful. That there are other yardsticks to measure politicians is irrelevant to this thread. Its called compartmentalization.

the only people who should assume that it is wrong are those who believe it is wrong. there are particular people here who do believe it is wrong, who do think it should be reformed, and who have credited people like IK for taking such a stand. my original involvement in this thread was wrt them. in talking about what the people want you’re making a simple logical fallacy if you think that should apply to what I consider wrong, and what I think politicians stances should be.

So now you somehow magically know who thinks the law is wrong, but wont do anything about it, or admit its wrong? What if most of the PPP members DO NOT think the law is wrong. Most of the PPP has openly backed the law, Rahman Malik the great has even clarified his stance rather colorfully.

Even if most PPP members DO NOT think the law is wrong, they are still the only party who have had MP, a chairperson, and a Governor take stands, and they were the only major party not at the Namoos rally. That is the only claim that has been made, and that is the only credit that has been given. Dont try and move the goalposts.
