Islam I read and understood does not mean that you only read quran and hadeeth to death. It wont take you to Mars, cure infection etc. Thats the wisdom part you missed.

By ALL means following Islam can take you to Mars and cure infections etc.

There is no prohibition for it in Islam. In fact there is encouragement for it.
