all jokes aside…i like hairless look, but when one waxes legs, one have to wait for a certain length:mad:…and i hate it…the only way to have nice hairless legs all the time, is thus shaving:blush:
or laser epilation:bobo:it’s wonderfull:balley: costly, painfull…but it changed my life
thin long hair is better than thick bristly stuff
i dont wax all the time, just if i am gonna be going swimming in the sea
and that’s in the summer only
otherwise my legs stay covered
thank goodness someone agrees with me...my mum still says its haram! i've got past the stage of listening to her lectures now.
However, I always have one response to those who say shaving is haram...if so, then what did women use before the days of hair removal cream to keep themselves clean as dictated in islam? No-one ever has an answer!
yep heard the story again and again...i get it old that it will happen to me too...apparently they had to get the blade that she used to shave her legs with and put it under her coffin...the hair that had removed was weighing the coffin down...definately some pakistani folkstory around the campfire!
Ive also heard the story about metal blades but I,ve never taken any notice of it.
If I used creams they would irritate sensitive areas of the body so Id be sore all the time.
Anyway you arent supposed to use hairremoving cream in certain areas it says so on the pack. And waxing I think that would irritate it just as much. I use phillips lady shave.
thats true…waxing yourself is tedious and annoying and it hurts like %^&$%&^*!!!but i think a professional wax is SO worth it. esp if you get it done by those chinese ladies…they give you a massage afterwards…mmmm
oh anyways my first wax horror story…i left it on my legs for too long…and went to recieve a phone call. it hardened. and i didnt have any baby oil or anything at home…dont ask how much pain i went through while rubbing it off… my leg was RED and scabbed.
Sara! You can’t do your own Brazilian! That’s next to impossible! Treat yourself to a professional wax, you’re worth it!
Also, I’ve heard the desi myth about using a metal blade to shave with too. It’s total crap. My eldest aunt used to believe that. Before hair removal creams, women in Pakistan used to pluck their unwanted hair (think threading). Down there, believe it or not, they would pull the hair out themselves, using their hands. They’d powder up their fingers to help increase the grip and pull away. It hurt like hell apparently, but they couldn’t use a razor because of all the myths associated with it. What women believe…sheesh. As far as removal of leg hair goes, in the old days, women didn’t do it. But nowadays, the girls are so advanced there in Pakistan, that they couldn’t live without it. They shave, wax, thread, whatever they can as often as they can.
