My view is simple when it comes to this, its a short life, treat yourself and others around you well, make every day enjoyable and without being wasteful do what feels good. dont deny yourselves simple pleasures.
and yes…you are good enough for the good china and cutlery… no matter how much someone says that is for the guests…screw guests…you earned it, you bought it, you should use it
