Ideas are never a waste of time. At the least, some of the assets that have been taken from then india should be returned. And equitable distribution of said assets done among present india Pakistan and Bangladesh.

Yes..I agree…they should pay damages but they wouldn’t… And yes pak should be a part of it if they want to be…(Bangladesh too)

Britain is already in its own troubles. First of all they allowed too many southasians in, and now are reaping the fruits. lol
pretty much everyone and their whole tabbars are on welfare, do little to no work, no brains or innovations, no real exports to talk about, plus they're invaded by influx of europeans coming in and they can;t stop em, lol

Britain has been "paying" back India in the form of pro-immigration policies that have allowed people from the entire subcontinent to migrate, gain permanent residence and citizenship. The same immigrants in turn are able to send what they earn back to their countries of origin, and sponsor other relatives to come on over.
Britain can deny the Indians permanent immigrant benefits including residence if it is monetary benefit they're seeking for a land they no longer live in, and choose to leave. The same would apply to Pakistanis living in Britain if they jump on this bandwagon.
Indian MP forgot to mention that Indians continue to migrate to UK. They weren't forced to come to Britain as slaves, as was the case across the pond. The same people who are cheering him on today, would be the same people who balk at the idea of Libya wanting to be paid for its' colonization, and Africa, and the other countries, and where does it stop?
But, he is an MP, and it is a British affair, whatever they decide is their business. Israeli lobby has the same mindset, hence the disproportionate support for Israel regardless of its' crimes against a large segment of its oppressed population.
