I hope Saeed Anwar is their. I hope Afridi and Razzaq are their too. They need to play in as many matches as possible under a good coach who can teach them how to bat, especially Afridi.
I kind of agree with the dude who said that Inzi and Younis Khan should be suspended. I think Inzimam should for sure. I don't think Younis Khan was much at fault. He doesn't seem like it. But what do i know i've just seen him put up either 55runs or 10runs.
MY team 2003
I would say work with both Mohammad Zahid and Mohammad Sami they will become the core of Pakistani team (bowling side) in next World Cup.
I also think Umar Gul should be given chance, I heard he is a good Bowler
Pakistani Cricket Coach needs to work on following players
Younis Khan (also same case, he is not consistant but he can get better)
Imran Nazir: can be good as opener, I think would do a better job since he can be used to fill the gap in bowling.
Imran Farhat (Opener) can become a lethal Leg Spinner for Pakistani Team (Needs somework on his skills)
Taufiq Umar can become (Next best Opener for Pakstan) he can be paired with Saeed Anwar or Imran Nazir or Imran Farhat.
Azhar Mahmood & Abdur RazzaQ (Medium Fast) has lot more room to grow. Weren't able to contribute in WC2003, I would still him them a chance.
Rashid Latiff (Can be replaced by Kamran Akmal if injurd/unfit or retaire)
Shahid Afridi or Hasan Raza or (Who ever is perfect to fit that spot).
Saglain Mushtaq (Danish Kaneria is also good, can fill the role if S.Mushtaq is not fit)
Imran Farhat ??? New kid in the block, future is bright for him.
I would also bring back Hasan Raza to see if we can find a spot for him in the team.
I think Pakistan can try different combination:
1) Saeed Anwar
2) Taufig Umar / Imran Nazir
3) Saleem Elahi / Misbah / Imran Farhat
4) Yousuf Youhana (Captain)
5) Hassan Raza / Younis Khan / Shahid Afridi
6)Rashid Latiff / Moin Khan / Kamran Akmal

8) Wasim Akram
9) Saglain Mushtaq / Shoaib Malik / Danish Kaneria
10) Shoaib Akhtar (If Shoaid leaves for UK then we should find his replacement)

Same deal with Sharjah?
Sharjah is one place where our batsmen can find form before they play any further tournaments.....the pitch is batting friendly n pakistan has always done well there.....bowlers also find a lot of reverse swing under the lights in sharjah!

Us2 be called The Pakistani Channel, it's available in uk, europe, Pakistan, Middle east & Africa, I think they only have rights to broadcast sharjah in Uk but i'm not 100% sure, I'll keep my eyes open when the show the ad's again.

i dont think soo ...he is such a quite guy how just goes and plays his game and u know tries to do his best on the field but he is certainly not a guy who can captain the side thats just terrible stuff....he doesnt have the skills to do it..he cant even speak english properly!

What team would you pick out of that lot? I haven't seen a lot of the players so difficult for me to make a choice. I'll have a better idea after watching the first match but I reckon kaneria would get wickets in one day matches so i'd pick him as the spinner. Shoaib malik is a good bat who can bowl a bit, and if Younis Khan is going to play he has to bat at no 3.
The rest i'll know better after watching them in action. I'm looking forward to it already, and with SA also in the process of re-building should be an interesting tournament :)
I wonder if this tournament will go ahead after the current crisis in the gulf region. Would South africa show up?.
