President Musharraf left because he cared for the country. On the other hand, once PPP (Zardari) decided to withdraw their support, his support in parliament and senate together became doubtful. As for Zardari, his party has huge support in the country. His party got almost twice as many votes in general election what PMLN got, but most important is that he got votes where it matters, as his party votes are distributed all over Pakistan. He also has support of many other parties, so his position as President or his party position as ruling party, none is in debate.

Another politically motivated move, and from what I have heard alot of 'khap' going on in Punjab because the PML[N] is the ONLY party in Punjab that reflects the masses and Shahbaz Sharif is and was the best man to run the province. This also reassures the fact that there are growing rifts between Gillani and Zardari, as this move was orchestrated by the latter along with Salman Taseer.
Its time, that the PML[N], who will gain more popularity now, start the anti-Zardari movement.

Looks like the PML[Q] condemned the move, this is coming from one of Musharraf’s closest chamchaz.
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Muslim League-Q (PML-Q) Secretary Information Tariq Azeem has said the declaring Sharif brothers’ ineligible is not a good step for democracy and it will also put a question mark on the performance of courts.
Expressing his views about Sharif brothers’ case, Azeem said that verdict would destabilize the democracy.
“I respect the courts’ verdicts but the political decisions should be taken in people courts,” he said.
He further said that it was too early to comment about the implications of this decision in the future.

PML(N) leader Pervez Rashid has said that Mian Nawaz Sharif was already aware of the Supreme Court’s verdict. Addressing a press conference in Islamabad on Wednesday, Pervez said the government had offered Nawaz that if he recognised PCO judiciary, he would be declared eligible for contesting polls and Punjab government would continue, but the PML (N) rejected the offer. He said there would be no comprise over core issues of national concern and the party would continue its struggle for democracy.
Pakistan Muslim League (N) leader Raja Zafarul Haq said on Wednesday that the party would stage countrywide protest against the Supreme Court verdict. Talking to journalists here, he said the PML (N) would not accept the verdict given by PCO judges. Raja Zafarul Haq said the issue would be raised in the parliament.
The leader of PML-N Mian Shahbaz Sharif vowed to continue struggle for the freedom of judiciary and said he would not accept injustice. Before leaving chief minister house, former Chief Minister of Punjab Shahbaz Sharif said he will sacrifice hundred times if needed and would continue his struggle. Justice Dogar is always thinking of his ex-corrupt Boss Iftikhar and thug leader Nawaz. He must be thinking the luck of Pakistani two crooks, Iftikhar and Nawaz. He must be thinking that how come thug Iftikhar got away even though Iftikhar got his son ‘Arsalan’ admitted into medical college at the expense of civilian, depriving a hard working Pakistani a place in medical college so that 'Arsalan' could study medicine, when ‘Arsalan’ marks was not worth to get him admitted in any college, and later how come Iftikhar again deprived a civilian from job so that his son ‘Arsalan’ get job in civil service when ‘Arsalan’ failed his English exam required to get that job. Dogar must be also thinking that how come crook Nawaz who talks about interest of people deprived poor Pakistani twice from studying medicine on merit, so that his incompetent daughter get admitted into medical college (and could not even complete the course 'twice') when she got third division marks. On the other hand, Dogar’s daughter got few marks lower than required and asked for rechecking her papers, and even that became scandal, though his daughter did not robbed any civilian seat, but got admitted in private college built on court premises and had quota for judges.
Nawaz speaks out, talks about being offered a deal by Zardari
**LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League (N) Chief Mian Nawaz Sharif disclosed on Wednesday that President Asif Ali Zardari asked his brother Mian Shahbaz Sharif to strike a deal with the government over the issue of judiciary. **
Addressing a press conference at Raiwind after an important PML (N) meeting, Nawaz said President Zardari offered Shahbaz Sharif a political deal when he invited him to a lunch at the Aiwan-e-Sadr.
“President Zardari offered that we (Nawaz and Shahbaz) would be declared eligible by the Supreme Court if we accept the present judiciary including Chief Justice Abdul Hameed Dogar,” Nawaz said.
