Re: Shariat in Pakistan
Thanks. This is what I was looking for.
Also, you will see people only constituting Sharia with some Islamic punishments and without even knowing their pre-requisites. Many of the principles of Sharia do not even apply until you do not have an Islamic Welfare state established.
PCG’s dozen questions are mostly revolving around the issues which we hear every now and then however more importantly, no one cares about the actual politico-socio-economic infrastructure of the society, Sharia can provide. Implementing Sharia does not necessarilly dicatates one’s personal life but defines an environment. Implementing Sharia does not mean that we cut the hands of a thief without even providing peoples of the state food provisions and living. If Sharia makes one fearful that it will be abused then, it can not be even sharia to begin with. We should stop calling such thing Sharia for Sharia is an abbreviation of Shariat-e-Muhammadi, that is, the way of the Muhammad:saw: and it can only be right - no option of it being wrong. Whoever finds it wrong can judge him/herself on his/her own where he/she stands anyway.
