You are not a non-believer or a believer in the Western secular concept of state. That’s what allows you to appreciate the host country’s validity and importance of secular humanist tradition. Had your host country practiced draconian religious (or secular) laws against your belief, you would not be showing them the same respect.

Let’s say you had to pay the Western equivalent of jizia - more tax then a Christian because of your religion - your respect of their laws would change very quickly.

Mr. Kehkashan, you are very much mistaken… Do you even know what Jizya is? or some Islam hater told you about it.

Just as Muslims pay Zakat and state is supposed to collect it, non-Muslims, who do not pay zakah pay Jizya… and its for not having a nice party in the President house, its for the welfare of the people.

SO yes, each and every part of shariah is HUMANE. The point is to establish a welfare state..
