Re: Share Stories of Successful Fertility Treatments!
Unfortunately we’ve had to put our dreams on hold. It’s for my nand’s wedding. We have to go to Pak and my hubby being the oldest brother and only son is basically funding the wedding. We asked them if they could wait until next year, as we’d rather put $5000 towards ivf but they said no. We even told them what we are wanting to hold back for, but they still said no. So next year insha’Allah we can try .. i’m sad i need a hug
Re: Share Stories of Successful Fertility Treatments!
this is more information about this couple:
*“My lowest FSH ever was 8, but then over the years it got close to 10 and I think it was even 11 or 12 when I did my last IVF wth Dr. S. Generally my FSH levels were getting higher each year as I got older (which wasn’t great for ICSI), but one thing that is new but controversial in increasing egg quality ('cause egg quality decreases as FSH Levels increase with age) is a drug called DHEA, which Dr. S said I could take - actually I suggested it to him after doing research and he said yes that I could take it in my case. Since it wasn’t available in the UK without prescription, I ordered it from the States (a vegetarian - halal one without gelatine). And I used it for 3 or 4 months before starting the ICSI with Dr. S, and I’m not sure if that helped, or if was Acupuncture (which is also supposed to help) or Allah’s decree (which is always true) or the combination of all 3 which made me have the best ICSI session ever with Dr. S, and finally got me pregnant this far. Ultimately its all up to Allah in the end.”

Re: Share Stories of Successful Fertility Treatments!
I was just informed that this couple did** ICSI** (Intracytoplasmic sperm injection) in addition to the IVF.
The difference between the procedures done in the UK and in Canada was that the blastocyst was implanted in the womb at Day 3 in the UK, but in Canada, they waited until Day 5.
