well I went to Regis today (hair salon mostly in malls in America) and the lady told me that Pantene is NOT a good shampoo or conditioner…thats the second or third person that has told me that…they say it breaks the hair and discolors it…so tell me what u guys use…I have tried CatWalk and just bought Redkin and I have tried Aveda…any suggestions as to regular store (Target, WalMart) type shampoos that are good???

i have tried pantene, i have tried herbol essentals..but the best was my lifeboy soap back in the homeland...see if u can find it in desi shop..

I use tressemme, that’s the shampoo+conditioner she used when i got my hair cut, and it was soooo nice 
I also use garnier fructis, dove… rite now i got the suave knockoff of the Matrix sleek.look shampoo hehehehe…

Pantene is too harsh on my hair.....haven't used it since high school.
You said you wanted brands which can be found at Wal-mart. In that case, I personally recommend Tressemme, John Frieda's Brilliant Brunette, or Garnier Fructis.

Thanks guys....I will go check out some of these brands.
The stylist I talked to today also said that Garnier and Herbal one is really good....buying shampoo from salons is kinda expensive but if I find that the prices are the same then what the heck I would rather buy the salon shampoos.....by the way has anyone used Redkin???

how do u like the garnier?? and how about the suave? sometimes I feel like I can’t tell the difference with my hair…when I usually add in spray shine and gel is when I can see the difference.

Pantene makes a lot of ppl’s hair fall out…i use to use it yrs ago…i’ve tried Dove, but it was too heavy for me…i used garnier for a while too, i loved it until i noticed it was kinda drying (or maybe i was just tired of it!)…so i finally tried herbal essences fruit fusion (the condtioner only)…i loved it from the first time i used it…it has more natural extracts than fructis and i just loved the way it made my hair feel…it’s much softer and silkier…so try that…but different products suit everyone in their own way…john frieda is good too, but i’m happy with wot i’m using now…and for shampoo i just use johnson’s cos it’s so gentle

anything apart from Pantene makes my hair dry and dull…
head and shoulder never works for me nor does Herbal Essence, again the same problem
but john frieda is definitely good
i was told by a stylist that our hair doesn’t need conditioner 
i was confused because my hair needs conditioning of some sort..
has anyone ever used any natural products like yoghurt, honey, lemon, olive oil and egg as a hair mask, it works brilliantly, try it ppl.. and trust me u will love ur hair

I’ve used both Redkin and Matrix salon brands…I liked both brands but personally I didn’t notice much difference in brand name shampoo’s vs. drug store brands in my case. So that’s why now I stick with Wal-mart brands since it does save a few dollars that I could use to buy something else!

I really like Garnier Nutrisse and Loreal's Vive lines.
Pantene and Herbal Essences did nothing for my hair except make it seem drier and thinner.

Pantene did not suite me at all...made my hair more sticky and heavy. You can try Infusium 23..I found it very good
