Do further research before trying to justify the behaviour of these Indian fans. sajid was a local boy and had some problem with some of the guys there. He was booed because he was provoking them not because he was a Pakistani. Moeen was booed by these guy because he was a Pakistani. Got the difference, and stop making personal attacks.

Read my post 41. Which was poster AFTER further research. I come to conclusions based on the information I have at the time. And change my mind as I get more information.
The comment abt civilization and class was directed at post 38. Who said it tongue in cheek. And I replied in the same spirit. Granted the smilies weren't there. Stop jumping to conclusions.

Just goes to show your further research was not correct.
Re: Shame on Indian team supporters
Very odd behaviour indeed. Considering that Indians are among one of the most educated people in UK.

What are you talking about? I am truly puzzled..
Re: Shame on Indian team supporters
^ Why are you trying so hard to defend those racists? Yes, there are some Indians who are racist, accept it and move on.

Yes I think we should move on
Re: Shame on Indian team supporters
Sadly the worst and ugly incident of the cricket history came from the most craziest cricket loving nation!
Re: Shame on Indian team supporters
Mostar95 I respect ur posts a lot. Do u truly believe this is the worst and ugliest incident in cricket history?
Here is what is known
1) There was booing
2) Bopara and Moeen were booed
3) Moeen was booed more than Bopara. - by how much it's not clear
5) some fans used the term Paki
The last part is disgusting. But do we know roughly what percentage of the Indian fans used racial or region specific epithets. Do we know the absolute number. Again a rough estimate is all I am asking abt
Else, an unknown fraction of Indian fans were disgusting and deplorable. At least that is my assessment. Not sure is that warrants painting indian fans with a broad brush. The title appears to do so.
Re: Shame on Indian team supporters
Not this one - in the past in Calcultta!
Re: Shame on Indian team supporters
That is possible. The Eden Gardens crowd - at least from my recollection from decades ago - can be raucous.
Re: Shame on Indian team supporters
india will diserve this.
Re: Shame on Indian team supporters
@ Mostar95 I vaguely recall rioting in Eden Gardens when Venkat was given out against the visiting Australian team circa 1968.
9 years later, I was in Chepauk stadium watching a Ranji trophy. Venkat got out against Delhi. Kirt I Azad, who was a youngster, at 1st or 2nd slip, pointed the way to the pavilion. Venkat, always a gentleman, was surprised since he was a veteran. Had couple of words.with Azad. I was on the stand opposite to pavilion. The folks in my stand set some of the wooden benches on fire.
Game was stopped. Venkat walked over to our stand. And calmed people down. This was unheard of in Madras.
Back on topic.

What a hilarious one… ![]()
Nobody will forget how Pak Cricket fans behaved after pak team lost to India in 1999 World Cup. ![]()

Here is your version…From, Bedari… You people copied from our film
(The only differences are your national heroes in place of our heroes,Urudu in place of Hindi and KASHMIR (very understandingly) whereas there was no Bangladesh plans for Babus who were sitting in Delhi that time… In 1950’S ![]()

So we `invent’ things including booing and stone pelting and you people improvise it .. ![]()
Period…
Re: Shame on Indian team supporters
So what you are saying is that if the pak fans behaved that way than it is OK for the Indian fans to boo someone just because of his ethnicity. Expected that from you.
