Shame on Indian team supporters

Re: Shame on Indian team supporters

fair enough.....in my books ethnic booing is absolutely not acceptable no matter how big or small.

i never saw it as an hindu muslim issue and yes you recognized it....that is why i categorically discussed owais and sajid issue to prove that indians never booed those pakistani origin British players....so there has to be more to moeen issue and i put some light on it.

jury is out on Pakistani fans until an indian origin british batsman say ravi bopara thrashes star Pakistani bowlers to no limit and we will then see how Pakistani fans react

till then....ciao

Re: Shame on Indian team supporters

After watching Haseena reaction in Asia Cup and apposing Pakistan Cricket team tour to India by Indian politicians, every one must admit that Pakistan never mix up the sports and politics as for as I remember.

I have many Indians friends and we never discuss the Match between India & Pakistan but share politics of both countries. Even we congratulate each other after the match.

On the back of every ticket and inside every match programme it states: "Spectators shall not engage in any conduct, act towards or speak to any player, umpire, referee or other official or other spectators in a manner which offends, insults, humiliates, intimidates, threatens, disparages or vilifies that other person on the basis of that other person's race, religion, colour, national or ethnic origin."

Re: Shame on Indian team supporters

What is your point? I have had extensive discussions with Phoenix about this. And also provided a link that puts things in context.

Re: Shame on Indian team supporters

Some people have turned the very gentlemanly sport of cricket in to something ugly … people used to clap people in … this is just showing a very ignorant side of whoever is doing the booing - the supporters need to become civilised for once. And this is anyone …

My personal thoughts are that the Indian team supporters from the British public are themselves intimidated by the skill and craft of Moeen Ali and want to influence his performance as much as possible, because he has a good bat and a good ball and everyone knows that Indian batters have a history of being unable to play spinners. The booing is them trying to unnerve the man to play a lesser game - its a distraction tactic from a people who are more concerned with a result than being fair in sport.

It’s a civilisation and class divide … :snooty:

:hehe:

Re: Shame on Indian team supporters

Not touching the civilization and class divide part.

But Indian batsmen have a history of being unable to play spinners? And everyone knows that? Ok. One learns something new everyday. I buy that.

Reasons behind booing of Moeen Ali at Edgbaston but why England all-rounder will not let distractions affect focus - Telegraph

Another article that refers to the 1990 conservative politician Tebbit? As my previous link showed.

Bo para also booed by same crowd - though not as severely it seems. Some scientific conclusion right there. A Pakistani cricketer was booed by Pakistani fans in 2006 in England.

Much ado abt nothing. Those who make this abt civilization and class probably lack one or both qualities. IMHO.
