Erm, no. The People retain a connection with their bodies and resting places.
You know that video you posted at the top of this page is about benefit from sitting at the feet - well the same concept applies to their Graves:
“Imam Ibn al-Haaj (rah) states: It is recommended to visit graves of Saliheen in order to obtain Barakah from them, because the benefit which is obtained by them during their lives is also obtained after their deaths. It has been a norm of Ulama and Muhaqiqoon to make dua near the graves of righteous people and also to ask through their intercession…Anyone who has some need, he should go to the (graves of righteous) and make them Waseela…”

Benefit from passed on people and their souls is slightly different a subject. The first benefit [dua] we take from them is them returning our Salam when we say As-Salamu Alaikum Ya Ahlal Qabur… . This is the first benefit and is almost a direct conversation between us and them (not their Qareens)
Qareens ‘can live on’ would be a possible indicator for some visual sightings of people, other then The Prophet SallAllahu Alaihi wa Ahlihi wa Sallam. Here in my opinion we have to go back to the Hadiths of The Prophet SallAllahu Alaihi wa Ahlihi wa Sallam to determine if the dream or visualization was a good one or bad (my comment is looking to the Hadith which states that good dreams are from Allah Subhanahu wa Ta’ala and bad dreams are from shaitaan)
So this possibility does cloud some other issues but benefit from the souls is unaffected for the most part
