Shaista Shaista - wittiest drama on telly these-days

Re: Shaista Shaista - wittiest drama on telly these-days

I absoloutley love Shaista Shaista becasue of many reasosn. One because it touches on some contemporary issues like bomb blasts victims, chatting, rebellion in the young. Also becasue it doesnt have th same old cast, all the new actors are really good, especially the guy who played Amir. And Saad is good too, intially I didn’t like him because I thought he was one of those spilt brats but he turned out to be so nice. I’m on episode 36 and all the characters have gone thorugh a bit of change and I have developd a liking for all of them even FAZA’s mangetar.:phajja: LOL.

The best things about the drama is that it’s simplicity. It’s all very real. Oh and I want Sultan uncle to marry Shaista alhtough Saad would be heartbroken.

Re: Shaista Shaista - wittiest drama on telly these-days

Ujalaa . Thank you for the appreciation and for your interest in SS. Me and Faiz , along with our team, are trying our best to give you an interesting serial with some substance :) I will make sure that FAZA and SULTAN read your comment first thing tomorrow morning.

Re: Shaista Shaista - wittiest drama on telly these-days

nice drama. that adeel guy is really funny esp the scenes b/w saad n him r hilarious. how come every guy is after shaista?

Re: Shaista Shaista - wittiest drama on telly these-days

because she is pretty ;)

Re: Shaista Shaista - wittiest drama on telly these-days

oh come on she's just fine...fizza is more young n full of life

Re: Shaista Shaista - wittiest drama on telly these-days

Omg I never expected the mother to die. :(

(I m a bit behind on this drama besides, some episodes are missing online. No spoilers please)

Re: Shaista Shaista - wittiest drama on telly these-days

i guess boys are more attracted to the quiet..mysterious grls...not the dominating ones...i like fizza more too

Re: Shaista Shaista - wittiest drama on telly these-days

WOW, no spoilers please? And you just spoiled it for other people who haven't seen Episode 23 yet. Some people, really...

Re: Shaista Shaista - wittiest drama on telly these-days

Spoiler alert!! (hidden text) since many people are still catching up.

NZ :((((( doesn't have legs.. gosh! this was so not expected :((( my whole focus was on adeel going back to his place and finally seeing the original family back!! just when i thought things were going to relax a bit, and now saad is all over Shaista, luving it :-D

Yestarday's episode was soo cute! :) the whole scene in the kitchen and how everybody was so uncomfortable round the table with each others presence. I like how no body wastes themselves in this drama, each scene/person is there for a reason and not just to fill space.

Re: Shaista Shaista - wittiest drama on telly these-days

I m sooooo sorry. I really am. I was just in such a big shock that I didn't realize I m giving a spoiler.

Re: Shaista Shaista - wittiest drama on telly these-days

Salaams ! hope u all r well and enjoying SS. We have uploaded a Promo for the next season. Need your feed back. I m giving new turns to the story as now begins the journey towards the end. Conclusions are always more difficult than the actual story :) I have so many characters and trust me I love them all. Yes I m planning to bring the story back to Suhail Ahmed's house. I like it more when the house is full of love and life.. The house for me is like Pakistan, wrong decissions wrong plannings, hiding the past, sudden twists n turns in politics. not learning anything from our mistakes. Th worst is to watch the nation loosing trust and hopes the way Suhail Ahmed is giving up. .Most importantly I can see Shaistagi which was an integral part of our culture, is turning into an indifferent cold and ignorant society. I dont know how many of my audience will get what i m trying to say here. But this is how I see the situation of Pakistan....Shaista Shaista things of our culture are fading away turning us into a nation with no ethics no morals no integrity.

Re: Shaista Shaista - wittiest drama on telly these-days

while watching the drama i never could associate Suhail ahmed's issues same as country's current state. i don't think common audience will think that deep. so may be just keep it as it is ,a light, entertaining play with no real deep philosophy.

Re: Shaista Shaista - wittiest drama on telly these-days

they hav aired upto epi 39 though things r getting slow now. my doubts that Nazo is physically handicap(can't walk) hav become stronger. but y she's so after Amir is not understandable. Amir is a useless member of the famly. Bi jaan's visit made no sense. she was quite annoying and hardly had any positive impacts on her grandkids. fizza should yell less now. she is becoming irritating. and who's her stylist. get her hair trimmed for God sake, they look ugly. i think suhail has another son from tara who lives with her, the guy who picked shaista's phone.

Re: Shaista Shaista - wittiest drama on telly these-days

Beautiful post Ahmed uncle. :) I think some things which happen in dramas these days do reflect our real life situations which Pakistan is going through. Atleast the good well-thought out dramas do. Just in last week's episode there was a place when shaista goes ' duniya bhar main hota hoga lekin hamari saath ye pehli baar ho raha hai ', i didn't understand exactly how it related to Pak but it instantly stuck me as indirectly talking about the country, and one of the very first descriptions of shaista's past life that her husband died in bomb blast, is a reality for many women living in Pakistan today.

Sir i have a request to make, in the next season, which i assume would be coming after a little break, please do show something like Fiza and everyone in the family, discussing floods or even going to visit the displaced 20% of our country, whilst remaining in drama-mood. I can totally picture fiza and saad hugging and talking to them, playing and running with the kids. It would be a great gesture, please do consider. :)

Re: Shaista Shaista - wittiest drama on telly these-days

@ Mabrook: gosh i agree about bijaan! Cos of her i stopped watching the drama, i hope she doesn't come back after 2 months. I like the original family more, plus saad ofcourse. I found Adil a bit of the scenes too. Glad they are both gone.

Re: Shaista Shaista - wittiest drama on telly these-days

Now I will watch it-

Re: Shaista Shaista - wittiest drama on telly these-days

Not Fair , u stopped watching SS and never told us the reason. I agree to a certain extent about Bi Jan :) Let me see what i can do about it. We needed an elderly lady in the house hold after Samina's death. So we tried :)

Re: Shaista Shaista - wittiest drama on telly these-days

excellent drama!!
Shisata, I feel the most for...her situation is tough. Has she lost all hope?? I thought she was looking for a job, what happened with that storyline??
how about having some faith ... has everyone given up on that too????

Re: Shaista Shaista - wittiest drama on telly these-days

Hello firefly, Mohammed Ahmed here. No we have not given up neither has Shaista, I m sure she needs to do something more substantial after such a depressing and boring life :) She has to go through one more major turn in her life before her personality begins to change. Hope you enjoy our next season too :) Please keep watching and writing to us.

Re: Shaista Shaista - wittiest drama on telly these-days

Assalam Alaikum Mohammed Ahmed uncle, i understand that you are trying to make this drama meaningful, but it's just a drama. when i turn on my tv i want to be entertain, if i want to see pakistan's current situation i turn on news channel but when i turn on a drama i want to be entertain, i want to feel good laugh and enjoy it. please try to think about it when u write more episodes or shaista shaista.
