Take Attaullah's for example, his wife know all about the ishq that turned him into an artist and the long lost mehbooba he still misses and write songs for.
Like Naabigh said, most of the uber romantic poets led very colourful lives. They rarely made your typical husbands so its hard to imagine how typical their wives must've been.

well we have an example of Faiz Ahmed Faiz ... He was very popular among women crowd but I have never heard / read anything suggesting that his wife , Alys Faiz , ever had problem with him ..
