Just read online that Shahrukh Khan and Mahira Khan will be doing a movie together! My two favs! The movie is called “Raees”.
A very good opportunity for Mahira to shine in Bollywood.

Disappointing! kahan mahira aur kahan ye chimpanzee 50 plus stupid actor. I don't know why our artists fail to realize their own potential. Mahira is not going to get any respectable roles over there. Fawad got a small role(compared to the flop heroine who played central role) in that terrible film Khoobsurat. He looked scrawny and sick tbh. An actor of fawad's calibre should be ashamed of doing insignificant roles that do not do any justice to his talent. Post that, he's being offered supporting roles opposite b grade actresses. Mahira will also lose whatever she has achieved.

Mahira and Fawad should work in Pakistani movies only. Help building their own industry. Bolly will come begging to them, it will eventually because it desperately needs Pakistan's support to grow. Bolly doesn't have the talent to match ours. It is on a downward spiral with absolutely nothing new to offer. Our artists should have self confidence and believe in their potential. They're not less than anyone. It's just a matter of time when they will be internationally renowned. But if they will short sell themselves and work for crumbs in bolly they will get humiliated (like ali afar, rahat fateh ali, etc). izzat ussi ki hai jo izzat karwaye aur jiska apney mulk mein maqaam ho.

^Well, obviously....when Khubsurat was penned and directed/produced by Sonam Kapoor's sister and father.....it shouldn't come as a surprise that they would give her more dialogs and more screen time so that she stands out more. I watched the movie and there was nothing different or unique about it. However, despite the fewer dialogs, Fawad came out on top, he can emote well with his eyes and body language even in scenes where he was given little or nothing to say. I have heard that he 'll be doing a movie opposite Kareena Kapoor so this should be interesting. As for Mahira....as an actress woh bas theek hai. I have seen her only im Humsafar and Shehr e Zaat.....and she did well...but nothing mind-blowing. I don't like any of the B'eood Khans and I don't care to see her opposite SRK. But that's not because I think she's such a stellar actress that she's too good to be seen with SRK. I am not feeling the pairing and and plus I doubt it'll be much different from the stuff that's usually churned out. If she wants to stay in B'wood I hope she 'll conduct herself with more grace and class than her predecessors: Veena/Meera/Humaima. I'll give credit to Fawad for not criticizing Pakistan in his interviews. If only the heroines could manage that same class.

The fact that someone's mama taya sister mister are making a film to promote their talentless incompetent sis goes to show what a trash z grade film khoobsurat was. How stupid for a guy to act in that ludicrous excuse of a film. Fawad's role was an embarassment to say the least. His funny dressing in that chust pajama was laughable. Sookhi taangein aur chust pajama what a joke man. zero impact. Poor script and hammy acting.
As for Mahira, she' not great by our standards but for bolly standards she's definitely at the top. In an industry where chacha mama taya make movies to sell their kins and heroines are used as props, dancing and skin shows mainly. you dont even need to know abc of acting to make it big.

I had heard that while she was in India recently she rejected to work in Indian films and TV industry saying that Pakistan is her ultimate priority not foreign work. I wonder what changed that made her sign this ;)

Actors from USA, Mexico, Canada, Australia, France, UK etc work with each other all the times in Hollywood movies. No one makes that a matter of pride or ego. Why is that we are always stuck with mulk kee izzat and quom ka Waqar kind of stuff if our actors are working in an Indian movie
