Guys this is a cultural issue. You have to ask one pathan how he would react and whether he agrees with Afridi’s behaviour. Hence you see waleed siding with afridi.. However what did pcb do to train him over his career so that he became more suited to being an ambassador. Maybe PCB should make a statement in reference to him along these lines " We do not condone or condemn his behaviour. He is a pathan. We do not consider him to be an ambassador of Pakistani nation. He is selected for his cricketing skills only"

Many aussie plays used to be quite wild in the 80s. Wasim and waqar were really wild in the beginning. I think wasim still is. Afridi just did not change and that is why he is Afridi, a unique pedigree of a cricketer, an enigma, but to a pathan, he may just be an average guy.

Some of the fans do behave like idiots in desperation for autographs, some are even abusive, but this does not justify Afridi’s (animal) behavior. There should be some difference between him and a ghunda, mawali in the street. Notice Afridi’s demeanor before he punches the guy. He seems like a volcano about to erupt!!

I did not condone Younis’s behaviour when he beat up a poor guy who just happened to trip over something and fall in his path nor can I defend Afridi’s animal behaviour

The Afridi on karachi airport tonight, was NOT a Cricketer. He was FATHER, who lost it, when he saw his daugher down on the floor, hurt and crying. My respect for Lala just went through the roof. I don’t have any kids, but I’d tear anyone apart if they did anything bad to my Nephew.

People who are saying the kid wasn’t there should go on twitterverse to check their facts…people who interviewed him and were eyewitnesses said his daughters were waiting for him outside of the car. Had someone pushed my daughter I would have beaten the crap out of them as well. Simple as that!
