The rot started in 2007 under Musharaf's Government. Economically the downward spiral started then. Life was under no heaven under mushraf, as you would like to thinkl t is. Prices of food items, fuel had shot up before 2008.
In 2007 Sindh was angry, balochistan was angry and large areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa were falling out of control. We should thank the present regime for least appeasing Sindh and improving Khyber pakhtunkhwa.
The amount of suicide bombings were at their peak in 2007 and 2008.
You migth have a soft spot for the previous Government but by 2006 most items were already unaffordable for the poor, even when at the "boom"

What I know, In 2007, Pakistan was not only economically and socially much better state than what it is today, but it was even more peaceful and secure then today. One can understand that peace and security by knowing that Pakistan had election in Feb 2008 all over Pakistan and nowhere election was postponed due to peace and security reason. Actually, Pakistan would have had the election in 2007 but it did not happen not due to peace and security problem, but due to BB accident.
In 2007, even in NWFP, all politicians were campaigning freely and parties representing religiously retards lost the election all over. Today, those who won 2007 election do not even dare to visit their constituencies.

When Pakistani law allows murderers to get walk away by paying ans pressuring the victims (Raymond Davis), a Razi Nama for a beat down would be no problem. It is a good place to be rich and powerful and be protected by law and religion.

There is no kidnapping mentioned which I understand is a non-bailable offense. Cleverly done.
Now he is being bailed and police has said that there is not proof against the damad-e-aala. Case is about to be closed. No justice and respite for sweeper while drama-e-aala gets brownie points.. :k:
