LAHORE, Oct 16: Seven Elite Police Force officials and the alleged bodyguard of the chief minister’s son-in-law, who were taken into custody by the Defence B police in connection with a torture case involving a bakery employee, were sent to jail on a 14-day judicial remand on Tuesday.

As the police made no efforts to identify a woman customer allegedly involved in sending her guards and policemen to the shop for ‘teaching a lesson’ to victim Irfan after he refused to deliver a cake, Pakistan Tehrik-i-Insaaf held a protest outside Sweet Tooth in T-Block market of DHA against the torture incident.
Some news channels reported on Tuesday that police intentionally delayed the registration of a case and amended the application which stated the victim was abducted before being thrashed.
It was further reported that the related offences were also not added to the FIR and the SHO concerned was pressurised by certain quarters for not registering a case.
Initially bakery owner Umer Husain was avoiding filing of FIR, but later he was asked to get a case registered after a CCTV footage went on air.
However, a senior police official concerned, speaking to Dawn on condition of anonymity, denied such reports, saying the case had been registered in the light of the application’s contents and that the application was lodged the same day (Oct 15).
He further said the sections invoked in the FIR were not changed, adding police were not interested in identifying the woman seen in CCTV footage because the complainant didn’t want
her to be identified.
A police investigator told this reporter that police recorded statements of arrested suspects prior to presenting them before the duty magistrate at the Cantonment Courts.
He said Section 155-C of Police Order 2002 had also been added to the FIR. He said all suspects had been arrested.
The official said the complainant didn’t appear in the court of law during production of arrested suspects.

Perhaps because no arrest was made after Waheeda Shah's episode, and CJ was forced to take suo moto notice? In this case, arrests have been made, hence no need for such a move.
And as much as people may rail against Shahbaz Sharif's daughter, it is unlikely that she told her guards to go and beat up the kid. The guards very likely did it on their own, as we all know the levels of chaploosi and TC our police and guards go to when a politician is involved.

you are kidding us right? even an andha can see from the video that madame was threatening the bakery wala's !
Oh and one more thing, if the guards wanted to do chaplosi , they would have phantied the bakery wala there and then infront of her .. but the fact that they later came in full force , with armed men shows that this was ordered by the Goddess of peace !

So what was the madame saying to the bakery wala? Seems like the video you saw had audio in it as well.
Your assumptions are just that, assumptions. Everyone is assuming she sent in the goons. Arrests have been made, and investigations are in progress. Let things move forward before giving a sentence. As much as I oppose PML-N, this issue doesnt have to be politicized. Gupshup juries are always politically aligned to the bone, and it becomes amusing after a while.
