**Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif got off from the helicopter and went to the relief camp on a motorbike in Bhong; where as the officers in charge of the camp were stunned to see the CM.
The Rahim Yar Khan District of South Punjab is badly affected by these floods. Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif is visiting this area again and again. Yesterday also, he reached Bhong to on his helicopter to monitor the relief activities going on in the area. He ordered to land the helicopter in farms and took a lift from a motorbike rider till the relief camp. He reached the camp without any security and the officers in charge there were stunned to the CM. He also praised the camp administration upon providing proper and quality food; however also showed concern over the issue of unhealthy water available in the area.

^ ya well I agree with you guys its kinda showoff but what ever it is hez always been good to Lahoriz because thats the main vote bank for pml N and if he is doing some thing for them then he deserve respect and I think not only Punjab but every one should respect him way better then Mr Zoordaari..

Pasha atleast hes doing a 'tamasha' for his own people, unlike that ulla ka pathah zardari, putting up a tamasha to his khudda in england, and promoting his son's political career at state expense.
As for khoji and other MQM supporters, your hate mongering just proves that you and your party have absolutely no sympathy for Pakistan or its people, which based on the track record of your party its no surprise.
Voiceone, yes call them extremists or whatever you would, but they are doing ALOT more than the Govt. The Economist covered the story in the latest issue and even they admitted this crude fact.

Somehow Shahbaz's riding a bike reminds me of Mullah Omar running away in a rickshaw.
By the way, he reached that place in a helicopter, before taking a ride on the bike.
well these people are still doing something rather than visiting UK or sitting in UK and being proud of UK passport. Where is MQM now who got majority winning in few of Khyber Pakhton Khawa areas.

He should keep on doing this without playing politics like his barey Miaan sahab (aka NS). Even if he is doing show-baazi (as some have suggested), it will motivate other people and may be private sector to pitch in with their contribution.

Shahbaz Sharif has always been known for his hands-on approach to problems. He routinely visits govt hospitals, flood affected areas, and other problem areas in general, to get in touch with realities on the ground.

Not questioning his intensions - I think Shabaz Sharif is over-reacting and doing things that actually harm or disrupt actual relief work.. wherever he the entire administration is taking care of his security and other needs than concentraing on relief work..Though according to Geo-TV it seems he is the only person worried about relief work!! In actual practice most of the politicians including PML-N, PPP and other parties are working day and night at fllod sites but they dont get any attention..Its far better to make a mechanism or framework where he should only be monitoring the vast stretch of disastor and taking strategic dcision rather than taking Hamid Mir for astroll and embracing few poor sould and giving them few thousand rupees in front of eager cameras..

People should read the latest article about the Pakistan flood in The Economist. It clearly speaks about how the PPP Govt led by Zardari has failed in doing anything and in fact various associations that are reported to be linked to extremist groups are the first ones to respond to help and are doing much more than Zardari and his minions. This is one of the reason why they garner so much public support. The point being, if our Govt was doing its share, they wouldn't have to worry about this 'jaw dropping' support for extremist associations in the masses.
And apart from SS, the US and Pak Army are doing quite alot, kudos to them.
