Muslims hurt by Shahrukh’s comments

A Muslim group by the name of Mumbai Aman Committee has taken objection to Shahrukh Khan’s statements about Islam in a recent interview to a magazine. They alleged that King Khan had used unparliamentary language against the Prophet in the July issue of the Time and Style magazine which hurt the sentiments of the Muslim community.
The group has given a written complaint to the police
asKing them to file a case under section 504 of the IPC (intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of peace) against Shahrukh. A senior police official has confirmed receiving the complaint and said thorough investigation will be doing before registering a case against Shahrukh.
Shahrukh who is Los Angeles shooting for My Name Is Khan has stated that he was he was misrepresented and added that there was nobody in the history more important to him than Prophet Mohammad. He added that being a Muslim and standing up for the tenets of Islam was his most important agenda in life.
Shahrukh Khan Shahrukh Khan , under attack for an alleged remark against Prophet Mohammad, has clarified that his comment is being misconstrued because of “a writing error”. He adds that he feels the Prophet is the most important figure in history.
The superstar landed in legal trouble on Thursday when a local Islamic organization in Mumbai filed a police complaint against him for hurting their religious sentiment by allegedly listing the Prophet in the same category as a ‘negative’ figure like Adolf Hitler while talking about the most important historical figures in an interview to a magazine.
SRK, who’s shooting his film My Name Is Khan in the US, has clarified his comment in messages sent to the media.
“Obviously, I think there is no figure in history more important than Prophet Mohammed.
“Also, being a Muslim and standing up for the tenets of Islam is my most important agenda… and if they have seen my interviews, etc on TV about Islam, then the people who are objecting should realise that what has appeared is a writing error not a thought or view that I believe in.
“Prophet Mohammed is the most important positive figure in Islam,” SRK clarified.
Here we go again…let’s get King khan’s effigy and burn it. Let’s get a fatwa against him, DEATH TO KHAN, DEATH TO KHAN. WALLAH WALLAH! Let’s boycott all his films!!
Zarar Qureshi, secretary of the committee, claimed: “Shah Rukh Khan bracketed the Prophet along with Adolf Hitler and Winston Churchill.”
Most likely Khan was talking about influential leaders. Influence can be good or bad. Prophet Muhammed (peace be upon him) was a great military strategist as well as a spiritual leader. Adolf Hitler is one of the most influential leaders as well - he started a that continues to influence the world long after it ended and he ceased to exist. Churchill was a politician and wartime prime minister who led Britain to victory in World War Two. Michael S. Hart listed the Prophet as the most influential person in his book!
So what if he said something? It’s not that he’s an authority on Islam by any means. What credibility does he have? He allows his children to worship the hindu way as his wife is a hindu and also teaches his kids some aspects of Islam. Coming from an Islamic background, he should be well aware that he is doing the very thing that goes against the basic principle of Islamic…shirk. Teaching respect for other religions is one thing but actually practicing other forms of worship is clearly incorrect.
OK shoot me for saying that, I apologize because who am I to judge? I could be doing my namaz and Qur’an and all that good stuff but who knows which act of Shahrukh Khan’s will grant him a spot in jannah.
My point is that one should not be affected by this kind of news but our own Iman is so shakey that we like to protest take everything so personally.
Ooops, I forgot, he’s a Bollywood actor. Of course it makes a difference what he says :halo:
The link to the article does not state the offensive comment SRK made about Islam. Later SRK said that he holds the Prophet SAWS and the tenants of Islam in high regard.
Unless we KNOW exactly what SRK said about Islam, it is hard to determine whether the comments were insulting. So, we can't really jump to conclusions.

I believe that most of these actors/actress esp. from Damn. Bollywood are Muslims by name only.
A muslim is a person who has two basic responsibility always at their shoulders.
Being a Good human being & a good Muslim, they are interlinked.
Unfortunately all the worsts comes from a 'Muslim' , because we have forgot our fundamentals.
We criticizes the so called Muslim Celebrities of being non-muslim behavior but forget our own deeds.......
Are they portraying the Golden deeds of Hazrat Muhammad Sallallah O Alieh-e-Wasallam ????

If SRK say some wrong about Prophet & if it is proved. ..........
Then i am the first person who not only watch his movies & convince others also.
