i dont see how letting your MIL know your choice and getting to wear something you actually like on the biggest days of your life is reason enough to make a relationship negative. its the MIL who should understand...
yeah she can deal with it later but the notion that "if she wears the dress her marriage will be saved" is a bit naive if the MIL is doing it on purpose.
