This is a difference of opinion of Scholars, in the past. Just like Shia and Sunni have their differences, Ahmadi’s and Sunnis have their difference, there are difference of opinions within Sunnism too.
Its natural because this was a given. The Prophet pbuh prayed for there to be NO differences amongst his ummah, and this dua of his was rejected by Allah swt.
Differences always occured since the demise of the Prophet pbuh and its natural.
Follow the maslak you’re associated with and you will be fine. If you’re a hanafi, You would do as it says in post 24. If you’re a ahle-hadeeth, you do as it says on Islamqa.
Either way, if you do something, or dont do something on this night, Allah is the ultimate judge and you will be rewarded with the intention you have.
Majority of the scholars of today and the past, and the majority of the ummah (following the fiqh of the 4 imams) do recognize the 15th of Shaban. The biggest scholars of our time, do recognize it.
